You are WRONG! Pinkerton is RIGHT! The Crusades were DEFENSIVE wars fought to stop the depradations of Moslem murdering hordes who were terrorizing Christian territories by slaughtering men, women, and children, young and old alike, in savage attempts to convert the "infidels".

Just like today!

*** Well the islamic terrorists are bent on destroying the great biblical places like
Rachel's tomb, Joseph's tomb, the city of Bethlehem. I'd say that's tyranny.

But these true-believer Muslim terrorist are into American liberal diversity.
They destroy Jewish, Christian and Buddhist monuments.

That's why most American liberals love them and hate Dubya and the US military.

Catholics are Christians! The only Christian sects in 1200 were the Roman Catholic Christians of Europe led by the Holy Catholic (which means "universal") Church of Rome and the Orthodox of Eastern Byzantium led by the Church of Constaninople.

Ben: I have something for you. Your father wanted you to have this when you were old enough, but your uncle wouldn't allow it. He feared you might follow old Obi-Wan on some damned-fool idealistic crusade like your father did.

The crusades were not carried out by Christians and the continued referance to it is an insult to our God who came down in the flesh to be whipped, beaten and nailed to a cross for the transgression of our sins.

Who were the Crusaders, if they were not Christian? Are you teaching your children that Catholics are not Christian? You should do a bit more examination of your rationale.

Yup. Still gets to me that some people are apologists for a cult rooted and founded in thievery, murder, repression, and 7th century barbarisms.

It's an underdog's "religion".

Just like today!

Regardless of the origins of the conflicts, I hope we have a different outcome today then the Crusaders had a millenia ago.
