Ha, that pic. brings back memories of being young, dumb and stupid and doing the same thing on my college campus. We used large chunks of frozen road scrapings to add "support" to our creations.
The campus LEO's were even dumber when the got a truck from the maintenance yard to mow down the offending snowmen and crumpled the front quarter panel.

He should have secretely made a snow ball and put it in his freezer to get the kids at a later date (summer). as you know, they turn to ice if left in the freezer that long...
