You know, they have a point. Have you ever tried to pick up one of those suckers?
The mother of all food fights would be throwing fruit cake at each other. The slices would land like gooey brick bats, and the casuality list would be long. :)

Shh...don't tell anybody, but I *like* fruitcake!I am xJones, and I am a fruitcake eater also.....:)
I know that the larger fruitcakes can be also used as Daisycutters when dropped by the USAF, but they are a Southern family tradition. :D
