This is interesting. There are lots of black conservatives who are coming into the open. My friend's husband is now a Republican and he attends conservative political meetings. She told my husband about this recent change and said "there are a lot more where he came from". I think it's a silent revolution against the donkey party. People are waking up and calculating the odds. Many blacks don't like what they are seeing these days. The truth shall set you free!

I wouldn't vote for Vernon Robinson b/c of his supporters spam like posts on FR.I understand the sentiment, but there are few enough prominent black conservatives (seeing as how the forces that be invariably try their best to crucify them) that the announcement of a rising black conservative star is cause enough for rejoicing.

Yeah, like the 'Arnold for Gov' people were keeping silent this past Fall. This is a Conservative Forum, which includes the support of politically Conservative candidates (whenever they occur). If free speech reigns anywhere, it should be here.... excepting DU trolls, of course ;-)
Meanwhile, I'm already sick of they Jay Helvey for Congress spots: "And now, a Conservative Minute from Jay Helvey..." -- me thinks he protests too much if he's having to mention "conservative" to intro his ads.

I agree completely!
I haven't heard any of the Jay Helvey spots, of course.
Sounds like he's a RINO on the march.

Isn't that the truth??!! And then he goes on to spout some union rhetoric about people getting cheated out of their jobs.
You know me, I'm all for using tariffs to even the playing field, but Helvey sounds like he has something more ominous in mind. The worst part is that he doesn't quite let you in on what it is.

We positively must have Vernon in Congress. If for no other reason than to be an irritant to the status quo, especially the Republicrat status quo.
Vernon is one of the few people I will be voting for next fall.

I wish I COULD vote for him.
Unfortunately, I am in Frank Ballance's district.
Before him, it was (gag) Eva Clayton.

Oh PULEEZE jern!!!!
I for one appreciate Bob providing all of these quotes in one post. I've heard and read how great Mr. Robinson is but I've not seen most of these quotes from his supporters before.
I only wish I lived in a part of the state where I could cast my vote for him. God knows NC needs more real conservatives as our leaders. I hope by getting elected to Congress it will lead to a much more prominent role for Vernon in future national and state politics.

I am sure that Vernon would love to have anyone volunteer on his campaign. I have done some campaigns, and I know that are always in need of volunteers.
His website is www.robinsonforcongress.com

If you are questioning whether Vernon is conservative, he is.
I heard him on a local talk show and believe me, he is the real thing.
Unfortunately he is in Winston and I am in Raleigh.
