"Tell me, Bill, is there anything Bush has done that has your support? I find FR has a high proportion of people who like to complain for the sake of complaining, and I tend to ignore these types. I just want to know if you're one of them."

I thought that was part of the congressional bylaws.

Shades of Reagan. Democrats blamed him for their spending too, and it is obvious we have democrats posting here, although they try to pass themselves off as Republicans.

Ignore 'im anyway -- just to be safe.... 8!)Isn't that nice? Ignoring criticism based on valid concerns. Don't bother with the issue. We've got more important things to do. Like getting a 'super majority' elected so even more spending bills can go through.
But My, you asked a question, and while we disagree I respect you enough to give an answer. One thing Bush has done is keep quiet, at least relatively, about some state issues. I do think he has an idea of the federalist system, and even though we don't currently live under much of one per se, at least he's not holding a press conference on everything from sodomy relationships to people in comas. Mind you I don't believe in the right of sodomy or that the lady in Florida is getting a fair deal, but I do believe above all else in the Bill of Rights and more importantly in the 10th Amendment. I don't agree with much else he's done. If any of those actions were done by a liberal (not a Republican liberal, a Democrat liberal) the whole place would be up in arms ready to march on Washington
I want to say that I have given him a chance. I voted for him in 2000 but when you look at the Policies in Focus on the White House website, I can't say as I think any of those initiatives, except the ones for defense and some of the stipulations on faith based initiatives, are anything but wastes of government money. Money that should be in the hands of the citizens of the respective states
It looks more like a platform from the Democrats 15-20 years ago

Stupidly or not, I was only kidding.
Hey, it's Friday, it's snowing, and it's colder than a well-digger's, er, shovel.....

And no I am not one of those 'types' FWIW. If President Bush does something good, I will be the first to give him credit. And I have in the past. If he does something I disagree with, isn't it my right as a citizen of the state of North Carolina and as someone who voted for him to question the action?
I've found that I lean more towards the Old Right than any specific party

Yep... pork galore. The Bush-bashers on the thread are correct, Bush should refuse to sign and shut the government down. Then the Dems could use the "obstructionist" smear with great fanfare to scrape away the slight advantage we have going into 2004.
We can look forward to the true fiscal conservative and patriot Dean to tenderly nurture our country and Constitution.

What about the coast guard boat just in case they make it over the tall railings?

RE: Karnal Bunt..
LOL.. You think that was overwhelming?
I only cut and pasted the first couple of paragraphs that were relevant to the original question.
The actual article was 6 to 8 times as long and extremely detailed.
I just HAD to get the part about the origin of it's name in there, though.
