One Subliminal song says: "The country's still dangling like a cigarette in Arafat's mouth." In the hit "Divide and Conquer," he sings: "Dear God, I wish you could come down, because I'm being persecuted. My enemies are united. They want to destroy me. We're nurturing and arming those who hate us. Enough!" I have both their cd's. Awsome songs and music. These guys speak the truth and do so in a way which is a hit in Israel. Some leftist media, which you can see the AP joined along with the tone against this group in their article, calls them "fascist" etc. But these are terms they call rightwingers in the US as well. These songs also increase your nationalism and morale too in Israel.
If anyone wants to listen to a song of their freepmail me.

But the tunes are in Hebrew, yes? Are any in English?

Instead of saying, "Yo, yo, yo!" he says, "Oy, oy,oy!"

Oh I thought here on FR all rap was garbage :-( Maybe now more people will listen when I say that not all rap is garbage. There are many rappers like Subliminal who use rap and popularity of hip hop to convey important social messages.

They have one song when the first part of it is in English. Other songs interchange Hebrew for English words as if it was part of the language, which is cool. Another cool thing is the fact they have a part in a song where they rap in French, Arabic, English and Hebrew all at one, interchanging words in those languages flawlessly. They have members of their group who know French and Arabic (Israelis who learned French and Arabic in school). For example they rhyme English words with Arabic words, etc.

LOL.
That's just a stereotype of Jews. Over there, they rap just like if it was in English. They use the word "yo."

I'm telling you, this group has made people in Israel proud to wear the Shield of David.

"Eminem is not appropriating hip-hop and turning it back on black people," said Kitwana. Subliminal's music is "a kind of turning on the oppressed instead of being a tool of empowerment for those who are oppressed," he added. Black people in America are not committing suicide bombing attacks against the U.S.! What a moron!

Its kinda like cow$hit. In some instnaces, there is some economic benefit and purpose to cow$hit...its used as a fertilizer to help grow some of the foods we eat, but, in the end...its still cow$hit.
