... it was well known that Bell ripped off inventions from not only others but also his own staff and presented them to the public as his own.

This sounds more like Edison, unless maybe they both did that.

Edison did not invent the light bulb, he made the da*n thing work, economicaly.

Now Bell is allegedly found not to have invented the telephone.

Columbus wasn't the first European to reach the New World.

What do these pioneers have in common. When Edison perfected the light bulb, it stayed perfected.
When Bell invented the phone, it stayed invented.
And, when Columbus found the New World, it it stayed found.

Why should Neucombe and Watt get any credit for work on the steam engine. H*ll the Greeks invented it.

I fully expect the Wright Brothers to discredited and peed on before the end of the year.

Most inventions when studied historically have predecessors that either worked poorly or at best proved the concept. Some inventions were never even built and existed only as conceptual drawings.

Mr Menzies, at the end of 1421 also describes a Portuguese colony on Puerto Rico.

"This sounds more like Edison, unless maybe they both did that."

Yes, they both did, although Edison did it to a much greater extent. Greedy sob.
