I'm not suprised. I won't be either if they toss him out in SD.

I'm deeply saddened.

Me too.

On second thought, I might more appropriately say: "I deeply could care less."

Ok, who is running for the Pubbies? I have $50.00 that will not go to the Republican primary in Ohio because it may help do as much, if not more good in South Dakota.

Keep in mind that voter fraud is rampant in Tiny Tommy's home state. They stole the last election and unless the republicans are willing to have challengers at EVERY polling place this upcoming election will be stolen as well.

John Thune is giving it a second shot. If it wasn't for a few pork minded (registered) Republican voters and a lot of shenanigan (vote fraud) on Indian reservations, he would have beat Johnson in 2002.

And John Thune is a fairly conservative fellow who has won statewide before.

Representative John Thune (R)
AL Congressional District, South Dakota
Republican, Years of Service: 6

ACU Ratings for Representative Thune:
Year 2002 88
Year 2001 80
Lifetime 84

Thune is the ONLY viable GOP candidate to challenge Daschle, but will have an uphill battle given Daschle's slimey politics and vast financial support from out of state.

What may be Daschle's undoing in this highly geriatric state is his voting against the Medicare drug bill. His vote against the energy bill that advanced the popular ethanol program is also a negative and his obstructionism in approving federal judges may also be tough baggage.

A feminine voice does not mean that the person with it is kind and gentle. We all know FemiNazis who have very feminine voices. And Fred knows that to be a Democrat is to be a Slash-and-Burn type.

But does anyone really think that Tiny Tom wouldn't run for re-election? After all, what would he become after he leaves the U.S. Senate? At best he might lobby, but his actions in the Senate would limit him to lobbying only Democrats. And when he leaves, his wife's worth as a paid lobbyist also tanks.

My suggestion to John Thune is to have pollwatchers on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation.

The SD GOP was warned some three weeks before the 2002 general election to expect chicanery on Indian reservations. Apparently, the party could not figure how how to protect the ballot boxes there without appearing to be "anti-Indian" and "mean-spirited," a favorite term of "mean-spirited" liberals.

I cannot imagine SD rejecting Daschle. It would be a far bigger upset for Daschle to lose than it was in 1980, when SD retired Daschle's mentor, George Stanley McGovern.

Well we could have ballot boxes at the cemetaries. That way the folks wouldn't have so far to go.
