The Judeo-Christian West European culture developed the philosophy which freed them from bondage, while the Arabic/Islamic culture captured and sold them into bondage.

All of which makes the American black's fascination with Islam somewhat ironic.

it drives home the point that we cannot retroactively correct all the wrongs of man against man since the beginning of time. We were all victims and victors at one time or another. We cannot be held accountable for crimes of our ancestors. I haven't researched the facts on this but I submit that blacks have held and sold more black slaves than whites, "native americans" have committed more crimes against each other than any "europreans", after all, they preyed on each others weaknesses and showed no mercy to a conquered foe. WELL DID THEY? So I guess I'm asking all the crybabies out there, how far back do you want to go and where does the blame begin, and most importantly who gets to decide.

I think the same way. Why is that "Whites" are supposed to have higher morals than the people they conquered? The PS critique of White encounters with "native peoples" is rascist in itself! Was Cortez supposed to be more moral than Monteczuma because he was europeon and had gun powder? Why are whites judged by one standard and non whites judged by a far lower standard by the Left? So Cortez and Columbus were "butchers" but the crazy tribal leaders who sacrificed thousands of their own to their "gods" were not? Slavery among Black Africans was ok but when whites started to buy them it was wrong? That is the paradox of the Left. They hate Western Culture but yet all moral advancements of Human society have come from it- anti slavery, rights for women, free trade . . .

It's ironic when you hear a black named, for example, John Jones state "I changed my name to Abdullah Akbar. John Jones was my slave name".

Little do these characters realize that names such as "Abdullah Akbar" were examples of slave names given to blacks by Arab slave traders.

All of which makes the American black's fascination with Islam somewhat ironic.

It is an example of being told from the beginning of your life what to think by the likes of Jesse Jackson, Louis Farrakhan, Al Sharpton, et. al., instead of being taught how to think.

You are correct on all counts. Blacks did (and STILL DO) hold more black slaves the Europeans ever did. Likewise, the treatment of Amerindians by other Amerindians was worse than anything perpetrated by the "white man" (see the Aztecs treatment of captives, for one example).
