i LOVE the way he upstages . . .
it's
trip to Iraq.
May IT slink home in shame.
Better yet, may it slink to Moscow where it would be more philosophically at home.

The "Undisclosed location is Iraq!)" part wasn't posted until the President was in the air on the return trip. Get your facts straights first.

I wonder if we could sell the idea to Shrillery's team to put AIRFORCE ONE decals all over her plane for the landing in Bahgdad?
They are dumb enough. Perhaps we could suggest it was to give her added security.
Tee Hee.
Should I go wash my fingers out now?

I realize troops around
IT
will be under strict orders to behave.
But couldn't some creative troops . . .
maybe . . . suddenly get very ill
and heave up maybe green pea soup or some such at least in
IT'S
direction, if not all over crusty?
There MUST be SOME creative ways for them to register their displeasure of having
IT
in the same region as they are in.

Oh my, Hillary must have soiled old crusty when she got wind of this. Bet she feels betrayed that the news went from her to the President. Flying ashtrays over Bagdad!

The Prez is great!
The difference between Bush and Clinton is that when Clinton went AWOL it was to meat (pun intended) women, not to serve Thanksgiving dinner to the men and women of the military.

When IT's husband used to land at our base no one wanted to be near him, so everyone stayed indoor until he left. After this happen a time or two, he then sent orders that everyone was to stay inside until he had left the base.
It was so laughable that he was ordering the military personnel to do what came naturally, to stay away from him.
When Bush landed at our base the reception was fabulous. He was mobbed by the military and their families.

Did you see her 'real self' suddenly slip through when she first saw Geraldo and they laughed about being from NY....and then her eyes did the big, open, scary flash, her voice tone changed and she sternly said " I hope we will talk later" -- she couldn't wait for the 'interview'...

Wow, those DUers sure are seething, nevermind delusional. Most of them think the whole trip was made for the sole purpose of upstaging Hillary. Talk about your delusions. And some of them are downright hateful of the US military. Here're a couple choice posts from this thread.

I'm sorry, but most people will see this as a defensive political move...
...on the part of Coke-N-Smoke and his handlers. These people don't make a move to go anywhere unless they announce it in their usual obnoxious fashion well before they go. And the last place they wanted to have to go was the Middle East in the middle of the "mission accomplished" zone...they have to know that he's become pretty unpopular among the troops, particularly the National Guard.
Nope, the more I think about this, the more confident I feel that they're responding to a brilliant political move by Hillary and her tease about the possibility of running in 2008. That tells me that the Bushies are getting increasingly more nervous about the 2004 election (if they ever get held) because of the struggling war effort, and the flailing economy. If I were a hunter using a turkey-call, this couldn't have worked any better.
And another post.
Yup they are cheering their AWOL commander in chief
and we are expected to "support the troops" and if we do not, well then we, that is WE, the dissenters, are attacking the troops! Somehow that is very very bad and is considered a sin beyond all sins.
We are supposed to support the troops no matter how much they CHEER for Bush! Why? Why? because we are fed the meme that they, the troops who CHEER for 'Bush, are "defending" us and our country! Therfore they are unassailable and we are traitors!
That there is really no threat to anyone invading our country is beside the point--"defending" our country, even though it's policies are barbaric, is , indeed, very commendable and is expected.
There are some on DU who cannot seem to get this straight and are conflicted--the troops are cheering Bush for Christ's sake.
The are CHEERING Bush!
Does that not make at least some who are capable of seeing through the hype, on DU angry? It certainly makes me angry and I think that anger is justified. I do not think I must support the troops who CHEER Bush!
The godamm troops are CHEERING the warmonger Bush for christ's sake!
What else are we to assume other than that these troops love and adore Bush and agree with him and his politics and are willing to kill anyone, anywhere, using whatever means they see fit, on anyone including children and babies, if Bush tells them they are the enemy and commands them to do so in order to expand empire ?
They are CHEERING Bush, for christ's sake!
They are supporting a fascist, serial killer and murderer of innocent human beings.
How much leeway are we going to give these cheering troops in the face of this evidence and be willing to take being called traitors because we cannot "support the cheering troops"?
So much for "rational discourse".

It truly is a meltdown the likes of which I've never seen. I think it was the shock of it- the unexpectedness- that really set them off.
They know Bush nuked 'em here and they're mad because they had no chance to prepare for it. They never saw it coming.
Is the coarseness and vulgarity of that thread typical on DU?
Yes.
