Very leftist. Started out as something like the Wall Street Journal, for businesspeople/traders. Turned out like the WSJ too.
I hate them a lot. Only usable to fill a litterbox.

I'm glad that there are continuing news reports with Powell's name in them, identifying him as the Secretary of State. But for that, I would forget about the existence of this irrelevancy. Then again, maybe it would be better to forget...

U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell expressed optimism about renewed movement toward peace in the Middle East... In other news:
Enron's Chairman and CEO expressed optimism about renewed movement toward the unconditional granting of a $50 billion gift from the Fed.gov to cover "miscellaneous operating expenses" incurred over the last 5 years...
Neville Chamberlain's grandson expressed optimism about renewed movement toward clearing his grandfather's name as the greatest appeaser of all time...
Hitler's great-grandniece expressed optimism about renewed movement toward the rehabilitation of her great-uncle's reputation, and recognition of his role as one of history's greatest peacemakers...
and, finally:
The Pope expressed optimism about renewed movement toward not only repairing the Great Schism, but also of converting all Moslems to Roman Catholicism within the next 6 months.

Powell is one of the world's greatest morons if he actually believes the crap that spews from his piehole, or if he thinks that any thinking human being over the age of 3 will believe it either.

I saw some stuff that was very left of them.

"I have said to the new Palestinian prime minister (Ahmed Qureia) that we must now see action against Palestinian terrorists," Powell said in the interview with Die Zeit. Palestinian officials plan to secure a pledge from terror groups next week to halt all attacks against Israel - which they will then present to Israel along with the demand for full implementation of the U.S.-backed "road map" peace plan, the top Palestinian negotiator said.
Powell asks for action and the Palestinian "officials" plan to secure a cease-fire kind of thingy.
IMO a cease-fire falls short of action that needs to be taken.

Powell: A lifetime of practicing appeasment.Finding room for a deal is his job. His has to be the last line still open. Amazing how many people think he should act like Rumsfeld. Different roles are why we have both.

I'm referring to his character. If you've been in the military, you'll get the word, "ticket-puncher."

I disagree on his character. He is a cool head and a great addition to the tools the president has right now. I am glad the president has him.

...Like the report he wrote to his superiors as Americal Division G-2 Adjutant, soft-soaping the My Lai massacre, soothing them too with exactly what they wanted to hear.
Same-same Powell.
But continued communist infestation at State seems to be okay with Bush, so I guess we just have to continue swallowing too.

Nice imagery on Thanksgiving.... it does take someone with tact and good manners to be Secretary of State.... Diplomacy. Not everyone has it.

The issue is Powell, which you took up this morning as well.
I'm thankful for what I have and what I've given, including my worldview.
More impressed with W being in Baghdad today than Powell.
I hope You and Yours have a nice day, too.

Check this out:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/fr/590907/posts They already did years ago. Eindhoven is 30 minutes away from me. The articles are about a place where the neo-nazis are located. Also Enidhoven is the place to be for islamic extremism (Almost as bad as Rotterdam).
The article above mentions they unite to oppose Israel. It's their common enemy, although when there were no Jews they would be batteling eachother.

I think Bob Woodward's The Commanders conveyed an even inadvertant view of Powell as CJCS during GWI where he displayed a very difficult means of coming to decision except by concensus. Not a good trait in a field commander.
