"Proceed with the moderator bashing on this thread as is customary for these threads" .
Moderator-><-FReeper
.
Just as long as you keep the ZOT threads on the main forum.
And no one has ever answered my question about why the other forums don't ping the pager.

I do not like green eggs and spam, I do not like them, Sam I am.
To: Lead Moderator
Well, your overall point is still valid. WAY too much stuff that is unrelated to the reasons this forum was created, and why I'm a monthly contributor, gets posted in the wrong forum.

No, it had nothing to do with taking constructive criticism. It had to do with the fact that I was basically being told not to give suggestions on what is desired until I fix something that I have no ability to fix.

Yeah, that was in the days when we had only 1,000 posters, the stuff is still there you have to dig. I am amazed at the information available on this site.

Can JimRob write some code so that if Peterson, Kobe, or Michael Jackson are in the subject line, the thread immediately, automatically gets moved to chat?
I think you see where I'm at on this issue. Bravo! sir, from this quarter.

Yeah, shouldn't this be in chat?Heh, heh.
To: Lead Moderator
I used please.
And I should have said 'thank you'...but I hope you get my drift regarding how you started this thread. A whole ton of us just love this place, but aren't really computer saavy, and don't know hardware-from-software-from-thread starting etiquette.
So, knock it off with your "exodus" invitations, if you don't mind.

"Another is that its the weekend and news is usually slower" Today has just plain sucked for news. Heck, I even considered being a disruptor for a day just to stir up some excitement.

No, you aren't. But it is clear that each of us have gotten on each other's nerves. I don't know if you meant to get on mine, but I didn't mean to get on yours. Regards, LM

Yes! "General Interest" should be renamed "General Interest / Chat" immediately. It would reduce a lot of confusion.

The lighter stuff, such as the live sports threads are terriffic. They blend well with the serious stuff and gives the board a sense of community. Segregating these topics creates a sterile vibe. There's plenty of good, serious discussion on this board.

To: wimpycat
Fair question.
No moderator has any ability to change any software here at Free Republic.
I always assumed everyone knew that, but perhaps I was mistaken. If you can help spread this word, whenever you see it brought up in the forum, it would be appreciated. Only John Robinson can change the code.
To: Lead Moderator
I know why they call you the Lead Moderator. It's because your the heavy.
