I'll bet the farmers were using human fecal matter as fertilizer in the vegetable garden.

Yup, night soil fertilizer. Also, third world sanitation consists of combination irrigation and sewage canals.

The information and pictures are out there. When you buy foreign produce you are eating human feces.

Scientists and some government officials say illnesses have risen sharply because people are eating more fresh produce and want it year-round, leading to an increase in imports from countries with less stringent sanitary standards.

One of the many negative aspects of so-called "free trade" agreements.

Can't expect the importing countries to bring their health and safety standards up to ours, that would be a restraint of trade according to free traitors.

Of course the loved ones of the dead can comfort themselves in the knowledge that their family members died for "free trade" and a bigger golden parachute for some money grubbin CEO.
