I'd love to have a suit lined with silk. Especially if it had some navy blue or red in it. But Laura as usual picked a perfect style and color for her.

I think the Queen really does like W. They met when his father was Pres.

And I think Cheri has a walking stick, not a cane. A lot of people who walk in nature areas have sticks. I got one, myself :-)

I am so glad you have brought the topic up of her designers. I have been concerned for some time. My figure is similar to Laura's, although wider in every measurement, unfortunately. (LOL!)

Round necklines, jackets at mid hip, BOWS at the waistline, are NOT suitable. She needs V-necks, lower lengths on jackets, and NO BOWS. I also think her gowns should be cut tighter under her bust. Her current cut makes her look matronly, when she actually has a very trim figure.

I read somewhere that her jackets are the length they are so she doesn't sit on them and wrinkle them, and then get up and have a wrinkled jacket bottom.

Queen Elizabeth II was born April 21 1926 so yes she is 77 right now. She is now 50+ years on the throne which means she has met as Queen probably every President going back to Eisenhower.

I agree--

Occasionally I've seen picturtes of her where the jacket had a scalloped (wavy) hem, or "pointed" and then tapered up to around her waist (fashion consultant, what's that called?) and it looked MUCH better than the hems that are just straight, and as you pointed out, right across the widest part of her.
