I think we would do a lot better to recite the known facts about Iran every day, and give the Iranian people the support they deserve: round-the-clock broadcasting to encourage them to be brave, money to support potential strikes in the countrys crucial oil and gas and textile industries, communications toys like satellite phones so that they can communicate with one another when the regime shuts down the cells, as was done last summer on the eve of an announced national strike. What is so funny?
It doesn't bother you that Michael Ledeen's e-mail address begins
benito12@?

No more than my own FR screenname bothers me.
It's trivial to me.

Great post !
"...we are at war with a group of tyrants who sponsor a network of terrorists. Our most potent weapon against them is their own people, who hate them and wish to be free. We dont need to invade Iran or Syria or Saudi Arabia, but we certainly need to support the calls for freedom coming from within those tyrannical countries."
AMEN !

It's trivial that the man uses the title of a murderous Italian fascist for the purposes of e-mail?
Wow.

No, I think Ledeen is a fascistphile who thinks it's cute to use the Italian fascists dictator's name in his e-mail.
What do you think?

Wow... I guess we could all characterize everyone by their screenname or email address, according to that logic. I better change mine to something "white bread" American that everyone can decipher. Like Dolly Madison.

I have many times.
I enjoy getting my 'graffiti' onto these Ledeen threads to those who don't know better than to think he is some kind of deep thinker.
BTW, he ducks the question, duplicating his preformance from the '80s when he brought disgrace upon the Reagan Administration.

Oh. Okay.
People use all kinds of weird stuff.
Big deal.

Where exactly do you disagree with what he wrote in this article? I've read it a couple of times and don't have much disagreement with him.
The Iranian government is just about ready to come down, and it's the Iranians who are going to do it. For the life of me, I can't see how encouraging that to come about is a bad thing.
I'm not familiar with what he did in the Regean Admin, so you'll have to help me out there.
TIA,
L

Patience Michael, we can only do so many things at one time. People tend to think we're only doing Iraq, that's a far cry from the truth. We've got people all over the world hunting down the terrorists. When Iraq becomes a little more stable we will turn our attention to other things.
We are counting on the Iranian people understanding that. We are counting on them to trust that we won't forget them, haven't forgotten them, and when the time is right, we will be there for them. Will they be there for us?
To: Pan_Yans Wife
LOL!!
ME TOO!!
No one understands mine!!!
Good Heavens!!

Ledeen knows crap about Iran but he has some friends that stand to make some money if the present regime crumbles. As to
Ledeen and Iran-Contra I quickly found this link which should produce a couple names to put into Google.
