"A fun response to gun grabbers. When they say gun "X" is only for killing people, I agree and ask them to repeat the model because thank to them I now want to buy one. The second amendment IS about the right to have the ability to kill people.

LOL! Do that in the state of NJ and you risk being reported to the SS.

When I worked at an internet commie rag in the city that is now nearly entirely defunct and defunded, I said nearly the same thing to one of the pinko writers. I thought it was funny and said it with a hint of enough honesty that the only reason I wasn't reported and taken away in cuffs, I'm convinced, was out of sheer fear. Admittedly, I found the reaction rather gratifying.

Lott is correct.

That being said, there are add on pieces that can convert some firearms to machine guns. You can do this with an AR-15 with a Lightning Link. But the Link is illegal unless you have a registered one. Since it has been illegal to register new machine guns, the Link is considered a machine gun, for many years, the cost is through the roof.

Glocks can be converted by adding on a switch on the back of the slide, but the same rules above apply.

Converting semi-auto firearms to duplicate their machine gun counterparts takes machining and replacement of most of the mechanism.

Anyone who would deny law-abiding citizens the right to own military pattern weapons that are suitable for modern-day militia use does not understand the intent and meaning of the Second Amendment. Let's start calling "assault weapons" Homeland defense Weapons.

The very best of the Democrats on the Second Amendment seem to imply that they are willing to allow you have firearms that are suitable for duck hunting.

The modern-day Democratic Party probably sees gun ownership has an obstacle to their unrealized plans for a socialistic superstate.

My Thompson .45 cal (1928) can be converted by replacing a couple of parts, or permanently altering the existing ones.
It would be full auto with no control, however. ( one trigger pull, one clip expended. )

I see no need to do so however, as if circumstances ever required my possession of a full-auto weapon, they would probably be handed out to anyone that was willing to use it.
Additionally, my 1903 springfield can supply me with any weapons or supplies I might need in a national defence emergency.
The enemy will provide those supplies, willing or not.

Here's one lesson that we need to drive into the thick skulls of those gun-grabbing idiots:

The 2nd amendment is NOT about hunting deer; it's about blasting the rampaging rodent rabbits eating my young fruit trees. And if it takes an AK-47 to do the job, so be it. Stuff that up your bottle, ketchup boy.
