"Personally, I view suicide as cowardly and selfish, but I guess there are many weak individuals that cannot handle what life gives them,"
you obviously have never thought deeper than the front of your nose on this subject. can you willfully mutilate yourself? even at your "bravest"? you know little of what cowards are then. a coward will not take a stance because he fears for his own safety first. again i reitirate, this is about giving of self for others. cowards hold themselves above others, thus would not sacrifice themselves to save the name of the ones they love. this is not "face" again, this is an entire name! "face" is personal, and only relates to the indivual. what you fail to grasp despite my explanations is that this is for the good of others, not self.

What I said in response to your #73 was in context.

You are correct in that I know little of cowardice. We were originally talking about suicide/murder in response to the loss of face...which to me means nothing more than embarrasment....which is cowardly and selfish....if you want to change all this to talk about someone who gives their life for others in defense or the valor of battle, then you have changed what we were talking about, and I will withdraw from anymore comments.

no it wasn't. you stated that certain words i used came across to you one way, but the context clues of the statement changed the meaning of them.

defence of others is not just in the battle field. the action of killing in defence is kindred to rightous suicide AND killing in battle, but they are by no means the same. i was stating a relation.

Found this old thread while searching for recent news of the Pali woman caught crossing the Mexican border with the fake South African passport. But it is too gruesome not to respond, even so long after.
What can I say but "Murderous Bitch"?
Thanks for posting this, you see it is still here, the crime is revealed and the victim remembered for as long as your thread stands.
