Like the physicians said, post-surgical transsexuals do not have elevated levels of testosterone. In fact, they actually have lower levels of testosterone than women. The testosterone is what gives men an advantage.
The chomosome counts were grossly unfair to women who had androgen insensitivity syndrome. They could not respond to testerosterone in any fashion. They did not have any advantage. However, when the chromosome count came back they were XY, the information was spread all over the media. The result was they were publicly humiliated. Intersex conditions are not the fault of the individual.
