4-H, March of Dimes and the John Birch Society have all outlived their simple recognition.

Begging has succumbed to Parkinson's basic law.

Wow.

Our 4-H isn't like that.

As a matter0of -fact, there seems to be some knee-jerk to the right because Washtenaw County has Ann Arbor.

There IS some conservation stuff, but it is not pushed hard.

I am not a fan of paving the planet anyway, and i do think we need to be careful with our natural resources. Tia

4-H Bump -

I was in 4-H for about 8 years in Warren County, OH - back in the late 60's --early 70's. I was a Camp Counselor, Officer, State Delegate - and - believe it or not - Warren County 4-H Queen - '74!! :))

I gained so much valuable knowledge and experience through 4-H.

You did a bunch! congratulations!

People who say 4-H is obsolete or doesn't deserve funding have no clue about what actually benefits society.
Or they are just plain cheap.
And they probably think the goceries show up in the store because of "Food Fairies".

"...food fairies.." -

That reminds me about the story of my brother's former girlfriend from years and years ago. She was over at our house for a nice Sunday meal. My mom was peeling the potatoes for mashed potatoes, and my brother's girlfriend said, "I didn't know that's what you did when you mash potatoes--I always thought they came in a box."

Go figure - LOL

I dug this one up and then noticed who posted it in the first place.
