>>Query what has SP said that has been shown to be truthful?
That he'd "lost his wife"?
"Just the other day as a matter of fact... looks like we'll be able to spend Christmas Day together after all, baby." >>

I'm not sure that I'd agree that he 'lost' her, I think it's more like he 'put her away,' in the wrong place! lol

Does anyone else notice that big zit he has on his nose during the Sawyer interview? Is it the revenge of Pinocchio?

Pinz, who can't wait to read yesterday's transcripts.

Something forced him to admit to a trip to Berkeley marina.
---
Wait-- I thought that Snott 'first' voluntarily admitted to Laci's dad that he (Snott) had gone fishing the evening Laci went missing. I thought he said this before the police were called to the house.

DA, I believe the MPD still have snotts truck. I havn't read all the transcripts yet and was wondering if the truck has come up in them. There MUST be something there for them to still be holding it.

Don't they have to give a number of players?

You have to sign in. You could sign in alone. But on a golf course, depending on the number of wholes, the club know's how long (on average) it takes to run the course. Also, there are people golfing before you and after you. Sometimes they jump ahead of one another. Some are in carts and some are walking the distance. There are lots of witnesses on a golf course that could testify as to how long he stayed.

I think the police found that parking slip from the Berkeley Marina in Scott's truck. I think they found it that very first night, the 24th, while they were exploring all over the place, and taking down Scott's story about his missing wife.

I think that maybe they showed it to him and casually said, "what about this?" And I think at that point he realized that he'd better stick to a story of having "gone fishing at Berkeley Marina."

I am guessing that the conversation w/ Ron Grantski took place when Ron got there on the 24th. We know the cops were already there when Ron asked about "fishing"--b/c Evers overheard Grantski say that to Scott.

Earlier on the evening of the 24th (IMO, before the cops got to Covena Ave.), Scott told a neighbor that he'd been away golfing all day.

I'm not sure why they still have it, melodie. At first I think Scott was filing stuff in court trying to get it back, but I guess he's stopped that now that he isn't, um, driving anywhere these days, lol.

I don't know; you have a good point; I would think that any little piece of property, Jackie and Lee would be fighting to get back.

We know they found blood inside the truck, I think along the inside of the driver's door. That was supposedly Scott's blood. Remember, he said he'd cut his hand on his toolbox? (Just like OJ, explaining cuts b/f he is asked!)

Some days "cruel" just feels good. It's my "Vlad" gene that surfaces from time to time. Out of my control.... (pan camera to close-up of fangs)

Good thinking, DA. But if he was planning to use the golf story, he would have hurt himself with the message he left on Laci's phone, telling her he was in Berkley....

It is interesting that he used both excuses after he got home. A mistake, or a change in alibi plans? Who can figure out how his deranged mind works?

You're more caught up than I am! I should have taken that Evelyn Wood speed reading class when I had the chance.

That's an excellent point, pinz.

I think it's safe to say that his plans were somewhat fluid. Or maybe he was going to try and reconcile his lies by saying he went to golf in the morning, and went to Berkeley later. Maybe at the time (shortly after returning home on the 24th) he told the neighbor he'd been golfing that day, he planned to delete his Berkeley message from Laci's cellphone, but maybe things started happening too fast and he didn't get the chance.

Oh!--OK

Also, I don't understand, Why did he so stealthly rent cars instead of using his own and 3 of them? That makes him look even more guilty and appear like he didn't want anyone to be able to recognize him by his vehicles.

If it were me, with a lost loved one, and the police were dragging the bay for him or her, I would have been out there too. I would have been there often as I could in my own car. I would have been passing out flyers at the Marina aswell.

Yeah, there are plenty of pretenses he could have used to go out there openly. I think he was avoiding the media and just generally didn't want people to know he was going out there. I think he knew he was going out there b/c he was anxious that the divers might find something, and he wanted to know it early if they did, and he assumed anyone who saw him going out there would also assume that he did it b/c he was worried--rather than because he was this loving husband waiting for news.

I mean, he appears like he didn't want anyone to recognize him by his vehicles BECAUSE he didn't want anyone to recognize him by his vehicles!

And Geragos is suggesting that the only reason Scott went out there was to "find some witnesses who had been there on the 24th when he was there." Yeah, right.
