While this is certainly gratifying, it is neither unique or unusual

The COG (Children's Oncology Group even has a newly activated study protocol which involves observation of newborn neurobalstomas with intervention only upon signs of progression, as most of these will eventually resolve spontaneously.

An amazing story. And I pray the Dungan family receives a similar miracle.

I still read the Dad's diary every few days to follow Sydney's progress. They truly are an amazing family. And I was overjoyed to hear that there appeared to be no trace of her cancer after the operation. Still a long way to go, but they're in my prayers!

Here's a link to another thread detailing Sydney's battle and the "Lunch for Life" effort.

Is it also common for cancer in adults to resolve spontaneously? My father went into the hospital for surgery for prostate cancer. The final xrays before surgery showed that the tumor was gone. No radiation or chemo....and no tumor. Just a room full of family and friends praying.

My 80 year old grandma has a 50 year smoking habit, got bronchitis and then they found a large lung cancer.

This tumor was apparently the size of a grapefruit. She is a tough old lady, fearless of life but fears God. Darn thing disappeared within a few months, no treatment or anything.

Praise God for His healing power! When you read a story like this, it really puts our mundane troubles into perspective, doesn't it? I can't imagine the hell these parents have lived with for the last two years! I'm just so happy for this family. I'm thankful God is still in the miracle-working business today!

Which is why I would suggest the healing is more providential than miraculous. God should be praised, nonetheless.

We heard this on the early morning news - *Praise God* is right!

My remark to .45MAN was, "This is one the doctors can NOT take credit for."

God is merciful and kind in granting His favors.

Thank you for the ping (((((VC))))))))

AWESOME story Cinci. My GOD does work in mysterious ways. Too bad they won't let Him into schools.

Praise God!! I am calling Sydney's Mom right now, she has gotta read this. Sydeny had most of her neuroblastoma tumor removed a couple of weeks ago, she still faces a very bad round of chemo and then a stem cell transplant. I pray for the healing of all neuroblastoma patients, praise and glorify God for the miracle that has occured, in Jesus name, amen.
May the Blessings of Heaven rest upon us!
