Al-Qaeda warns of new attacks

I want to elaborate on the cookie story some more. When it is 110+ degrees outside, the last thing you are thinking about is a stinking melted chocholate chip cookie. But, the fact that this guy flew to Saudi Arabia from Ft. Stewart Georgia just to give us the cookis put a hell of a lot of tears in grown men's eyes. We happily ate the melting cookies. People saying they don't support what you are doing has the exact opposite effect. Instead of emotionally charging us, it drains us. And it hurts.

The original post that drew my reaction was by a self-described twenty something conservative from a southern state.

I was a self described conservative from South Georgia when I had my first combat tour. This guy in particular may not be fighting, but maybe his friends are. Maybe friends of his friends are. He has every right to be pissed and he has every right to look at the enemy in his own way and say "bring it on." Who's to say Atlanta won't be the next target? Or Disney world in Florida. Most people don't know this, but they are plenty country in Florida too. The Gator Bulldog rivalry displays that a little. That Nascar track in Daytona really shows it.

Also, 20 somethings are the brunt of our military force. That guy's attitude and youth is the reason we kick so much ass when we do deploy. Seriously, the Army doesn't recruit 40 year olds for a reason. I'm not quite 40, but I tell you, I have fight left in me, but not as much testosterone to back it up :)
