Hard to imagine Rush has had sufficient time to make mental recovery. In which case, he is still addicted to whatever 'made him do it'. He needs to readjust his life to regain credibility. He will need both halves of his brain now.
The way I heard it announced during his show was that Rush has successfully completed the first phase of his recovery. He's aware that he's in for a 'long hard slog' and I believe he has the strength of character to beat this as well as it can be beaten.

Of course expressing opinions on moral issues in a nationwide format makes one a moralizer. Do you think Robert Novak isn't a political pundit? He talks politics erego he is a political pundit. The point I was making is that Rush used to have more of a cultural critique based upon morality. I believe he even suggested that culture and politics are inseperable, which I also believe. But he definitely held forth on moral issues. Pro-life; anti-drug as well, obviously, with linking this to his larger platform of limited government and personal responsibility. When he moved away from the subtext, however, his show lost something. IMHO. V's wife.

"I hope it's not to late for RUSH to take on the 'rats over Memo-gate."
Ditto. Maybe Rush will wait a day or so to discuss his experiences with drug treatment, etc.. and hit the memo scandal on the first day when he will have a huge audience.
