What have you got when a bunch of right wing extremists are standing on a corner in North Beverly Hills, in front of the Beverly Hills Hotel, wearing crazy costumes and holding signs while a nearly endless stream of RICH, OLD, WHITE GUYS IN SUV's and luxury sedans pull up the driveway?
You mean like THESE old geezers?
Talk about LEFT and LEFTER!

"for his commitment to fair and accurate news reporting"

This is such a stretch on the truth that even REUTERS must have been doing it tongue in cheek.

The DC Chapter has one of abner's "Losing Share - Tell the Truth" banners which we use at the White House Press Correspondents Dinner every year.

It's a great sign.
Thanks, abner.

Yes, THANK YOU, abner! - for THREE wonderful signs!
In addition to your "Losing Share" banner, we had TWO of these powerful banners:

Thanks also to www.ratherbiased.com for the INSPIRATION for this FReep!

There were MANY "stars" at this event, but they all came out to see the cast of Friends - NOT Dan Rather. :o)
(The producers from that show were also honored at the dinner.)
FWIW, the photos posted so far from our FReep do NOT do it justice.
We were all over the MAIN ENTRANCE to the hotel, and we OVERWHELMED many dozens of cars arriving for this event.
More on that soon - and wait until you see the VIDEO!
daviddennis had HIS (powerful) spotlight, and Bob J had another one, and with these mighty torches, we BLASTED the signs held by FReepers posted along both sides of the narrow driveway entering the hotel.
To the arriving guests, it must have really looked like we had our our "media blitz" going on out there! :o)
We did meet one guy from Reuters - who was waiting for his date, and not strictly covering the event - or us, but he should make a GREAT contact in the future.
And, we got a LONG interview with the EDITOR of TelevisionWeek...

MIDI - BOBBY'S GIRL

Soon I will be number one…..soon I will be number one

I'm seen on CBS…I'll prove I am the best
I've got to get that big interview
Castro put in a word…..swore I am not a turd
I'll be a hero when it's all through

I wanna be Saddam's *itch…I wanna be Saddam's *itch
That's the most important thing to me
And when I am Saddam's *itch…when I am Saddam's *itch
I'll be back on top, you're gonna see

Hey, Brokaw, in your face……Jennings, you can't keep pace
I know that I will make history
I'm balanced and I'm fair…Hume, you don’t' have a prayer
I will tell Kenneth the frequency

I wanna be Saddam's *itch…I wanna be Saddam's *itch
That's the most important thing to me
And when I am Saddam's *itch…when I am Saddam's *itch
I'll be back on top, you're gonna see

I wanna be Saddam's *itch…I wanna be Saddam's *itch
That's the most important thing to me
I wanna be Saddam's *itch…I wanna be Saddam's *itch
I'll be back on top again, you'll see
I wanna be Saddam's *itch…I wanna be Saddam's *itch

A noteworthy development: Dan Rather first burst on the national scene on Nov. 22, 1963, when he covered the assassination for a Dallas station. From there he went on to the heights of broadcast journalism. He has claimed to be "fair and balanced" before Fox stole his moniker.

I think his daughter is a Democrat activist of great influence in Austin, TX.

We deploy ourselves along the driveway
Special thanks to the DC Chapter's Doctor Raoul for the AMAZING "cartoon hand" which he graciously sent out west when we FReeped Hillary's appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno:

From LEFT: RonDog as Saddam, with "cartoon hand" and "softball"
Bob J with one of abner's signs, and a floodlight for illuminating a similar sign across the driveway
Cinnamon Girl's "RATHER Blind Justice: Left and Far Left" scales
From www.costumeuniverse.com:

Costume Cartoon Hands

These jumbo padded costume hand mitts are made of soft fabric 13" X 13" at widest points.
Perfect for cartoon character costumes.

$16.95 US Dollars/Unit/s
This thing is IRRESISTIBLE to passersby.
When people see me wave with that goofy giant hand, they INSTINCTIVELY smile and wave.
(Note: I am dressed a brutal mass-murdering tyrant, and they smile and wave.)
A giant "cartoon hand" should be "standard issue" for EVERY FReep, EVERYWHERE across the USA, imho.
And, NO, Doc - you're NOT getting this one back. :o)

Our giant CBiaS sign
Congratulatioms also to LA Chapter president DoughtyOne for his HUGE (and hugely EFFECTIVE) "monster" sign:

Our giant CBiaS sign
diotima and DoughtyOne hold our giant CBiaS sign

D1: Please tell us precisely HOW to make one of these banners, O.K.?

How big was it, overall?
You have a program that chops it up into smaller, printable pages, right?
