I think I remember the press making a stink about the one I mentioned. It was out in east Texas I believe.

The M.U.D.s in houston were mostly run by retiree overlord wannabees from michigan and ohio.
The HOAs were run by their wives who had delusions of grandeur and had nothing better to do than to drive around all day and take pictures of everyones yards & driveways hoping to find a blade of grass growing over the curb or sidewalk.
I was threatened with a lawsuit that could have resulted in forfeiture of my home because I had 2 teenage boys that used to work on their car on the weekend in the driveway!

I had forgotten all about those 2 trailer home rules - I never thought I would be so happy to have MOVED OUT of Texas - especially away from Houston / Dallas / Austin areas. San Angelo used to be nice.
I'm fairly happy here in Hot Springs in the Socialist Banana Republik of Arkansas.

Just be glad your not dealing with TXDOT, With MUD you might have a chance.
I am not against progress and development, but I do know how local politics works and alot of time it very ugly.
I am 15 minutes from Round Rock, let me know if you need a body in the next protest.

Any endangered species in that area? You've hit on something here.
If one searches hard enough, I'm sure a Houston toad or two could be found.
