Why do I love this President and this administration?
Because instead of hand-wringing and politicing, they take action.

"About 16 Iraqis were detained and five killed, including an Iraqi man spotted trying to set a booby trap for American soldiers. US commanders said the attack, Operation Ivy Cyclone, was designed as "a show of force"."
But if an Officer pops a pistol shot near the back of the head of a known terrorist to 'induce' information through "a show of force", he is court martialed. Hmmm.

Could all of this enhanced hostility be related to the fact that we committed to a December timetable for restoring an Iraqi government?

"Could all of this enhanced hostility be related to the fact that we committed to a December timetable for restoring an Iraqi government? " Nope, because all we committed to by that time is having a constitution written. (as I understand it)

"Bring it on"

Actually, all we committed to in December was to ask the Iraqis to set a timetable for writing their constitution. It's going to be their timetable, not ours.

Taken it to Tikrit! (That was hard to type!)

About 40 JDAMS falling from the sky with no warning in the middle of the night on known targets sends a message "There could be one for you next".

There is only one way to bring a theocracy to its knees, and I point to Hiroshima and Nagasaki as evidence to the method and result. Japan worshiped Hirohito until we showed them their error.
We should have leveled Tikrit last spring; these Islamanazi Mofo's haven't been made to suffer enough.
That said, I still have my doubts as to whether Democracy can be established by force in a society where religious dogma trumps common sense liberty. In layman's terms, the Iraqi's don't want, or deserve, democracy and further American blood. Bush had better find a way to solve this problem soon, or he will have the leftist press at his throat next year at an inopportune time.

I don't think anyone would miss Tikrit. I'm glad to see overt action on our part. It sure sounds as if they are catching the bad guys, too bad it's after they act, but that is the way it happens every where.

Apparently the Iraqi bleeps have forgotten how tough we are. A little renewed Shock and Awe is certainly called for to refresh their memories.
