And Moonves said he thought he was buying a love story ... bah! I'm still not watching CBS for the duration of the sweeps period.

Noticed Ollie North's name on page 4. I think the Lib's used this as a way to bash everyone they could.

Why would Salon have acess to this? Oh wait, CBS probably typed it up for them and hand delivered it...

Salon has to do something to generate hits on their moribund site.

No date for the script as far as I can tell. Maybe this was the first draft and they polished it up with even more Reagan slamming. It seems a bit short for a TV mini-series, but I honestly have no idea how many minutes of screen time you get from a page of script. I sure would like to know the list of advertisers they had lined up for this piece of S**T.

I found the script scene in which Ronald Reagan laughed maniaically while spewed vulgarities and expletives in a fire-engulfed cavern in horns, forked tail, and red jumpsuit without a pitchfork to be a bit unrealistic.

Remarkable stuff. Communists have always relied on the First Amendment as their first and best option to subvert from within.
We need to get the heat back into the "cold war".

Hey, this might actually bump SALN's stock up to -- what? -- a whole
6 cents a share.

My latest screenplay, titled "BABS...The Untold Story" has Barbara Streisand's father molesting her till age 15 ...She and her mother then flee with her bastard child to a coldwater flat in Brooklyn...In desparate straits the family of 3, subsisting on cat food and Mountain Dew,are forced to sing in the Alley for pennies thrown by the neighborhood children...The mother, now driven mad from her abusive situation invents the SUV and gets rich...she sells her daughter ,Barbara, to a Republican potentate...It goes on from there and shocking truths about Barbara and her husband are revealed....I am hoping I can sell it as a mini-series

My gosh. This is TEN TIMES WORSE than I expected, and I FULLY expected a hatchet-job. We should campaign just as hard to have this thing yanked even from Showtime. Good grief.

You know, I've been one of those "wait and see" people - I figured Drudge snagged the most inflammatory parts and we weren't getting a fair look at the whole thing.
Let's hope that this is an early draft or a fake, because it isn't only determinedly vile, it's some of the worst screenwriting I've ever read. If somebody paid money for this they got cheated.
To: sonsofliberty2000
This seems almost too blatant to be true. Did they really think they would get away with this?

Nice find, thanks. Downloaded and saved it. But funny thing is, Adobe Acrobat's find function doesn't work for me on this .pdf document (so, e.g., I couldn't go straight to the AIDS lie). Anyone else having this problem or is it just me?

I am on page 86 of the script. It is definitely a hit piece on Ronald, and most especially Nancy Reagan. It goes to great detail to portray them in a negative a light as possible.
In addition to the Reagan bashing, I am noticing odd little errors that show the lack of any sort of research. The Reagans as the first family, living in the White House, are guarded by "security guards", instead of the Secret Service. There is a scene in 1967 that has the Governor of California Ronald Reagan surrounded by Secret Service agents. The Secret Service has never been used to guard California's governors. Also, President Richard Nixon's resignation and Governor Reagan's last year of office in California is set in 1973, instead of 1974 as it really happened.

I read 5 pages. It's much worse than the exerpts.
It is deliberately written with complete and total bias in order to promote an agenda.
These people rot.
