The term "troll" is generally used to refer to someone who is deliberately disruptive. They might be hit and run posters from the DU or other such sites, or they can be just be individuals who, for whatever reason, insist on disrupting threads and may do so in different ways.
.
TROLLER
Troller is looking for a response...ANY response, and he will chum the waters with complaints, insults, compliments, and inflammatory tidbits hoping that someone...ANYONE, will take the bait. Generally quite harmless - practices a form of catch and release. Nonetheless, he can upset the delicate ecology of a discussion forum. Once a forum becomes aware of his presence, however, all feeding activity ceases and Troller must move on to more promising waters.

. In Terri's case, the "trolls" sound just like Satan tempting Jesus with all the riches of the world (Schiavo's reward). Very true.

I put the last name in and got some results. At the bottom it said you could order copies but I didn't see what the cost would be.
The name I put in was Igel, that was the doctors name that MS sued. The other doctor was Prawer but I haven't tried that name yet.
To: pickyourpoison
I, of course, don't know what the cost per page would be either.....plus mailing costs. I am assuming at least $1.00 per page plus postage.....unless there's an additional "fee" involved for their time of photocopying (which should really be covered under the $1.00 per page fee, since it only should cost, at most, 25 cents per page to photocopy).
I think that link could be a jumping off point for more names, too, as far as search results. Let us know if you find out anything further.... : )

We are killing other people, Hugh Finn or Marjorie Nighbert are two that come to mind.

"In the initial adversary proceeding, a board-certified neurologist who had reviewed a CAT scan of Mrs. Schiavo's brain and an EEG testified that most, if not all, of Mrs. Schiavo's cerebral cortex--the portion of her brain that allows for human cognition and memory--is either totally destroyed or damaged beyond repair. Her condition is legally a "terminal condition." 765.101(17), Fla. Stat. (2000). Although it is conceivable that extraordinary treatment might improve some of the motor functions of her brain stem or cerebellum, the Schindlers have presented no medical evidence suggesting that any new treatment could restore to Mrs. Schiavo a level of function within the cerebral cortex that would allow her to understand her perceptions of sight and sound or to communicate or respond cognitively to those perceptions."

According to the family's website, that suit was settled for $250,000.

And there are plenty of doctors who have testified in contradiction to the "one" neurologist. Gov. Bush may now have the opportunity to have that doctor's TESTIMONY REFUTED....something MS is afraid of.
To: Saundra Duffy
No, because of Mr. Schindler's health and the stress of this ordeal, the appearance on LKL has been postponed until Friday, Nov. 14.

It sounds like Michael R. Shiavo is one of those persons who is always supplementing his regular paycheck -- as an emergency room nurse -- with monies from lawsuits. I wonder how many suits he has filed since he married Terri.

I just got done reading the whole thing and found it very informative ...Thank you for doing that. My FReep time is about up for today and I have a headache from the dry cold wind last night so I twern't about to wade through it. I'll come back and read it later.

Well, it does like Pat Anderson has done the best she could. She is articulate and well-informed. It was hardly her fault that the court of George W. Greer slapped her down time after time.
To: msmagoo
First time I ever heard "nuclear family" defined as: Husband, wife, husband's mistress, and husband's illegitimate children.
To: TigersEye
I don't know the motivation, of course, for the poster posting that opinion....but when your headache subsides (hope soon), you should definitely read it.
To: Theodore R.
Greer has his own agenda, and would have dones his best, obviously, to enforce it. However, from what I read in that opinion, there were, IMHO, inexcusable legal errors made by her---and that severely hurt this case.

My mother-in-law was accepted under hospice care in her daughter's home (my sister-in-law) on a Friday. She died at Monday noon. This was February 2003.
To: nicmarlo
Yea, I had read that Pat Anderson made legal errors earlier. It's just a part of the continuing tragedy and disbelief of this whole sordid case.

TERRI IS NOT TERMINALLY ILL OR HOOKED UP TO MACHINES. BTW, is there any medical reason, other than convenience terminology, for removing the feeding tube from a patient who cannot (or is not allowed to) take food/water by mouth? To the uninformed, "remove someone's feeding tube" sounds much better than "stop giving someone food and water", don't you think? But if the intention were simply to stop giving food and water, why not leave the tube in place?
