We are not at war, please read the Constitution For The United States Of America. That's what established our government and gave GWB his job.

Only Congress can declare war, as they last did in 1941.

PS: Please remember our bet.

This is not war. Only Congress can declare war and they haven't since 1941.

Please read the U.S. Constitution if you think that I am in error.

Also Ayn Rand, who I love, would not like to think that one of her best characters, whose name you have choosen was ill informed.

Good one! So you read the book! (Or at least the book flaps). How, when and where would you destroy America's enemies? It cannot be argued whether it needs done or not. True peace cannot be proclaimed, true peace can only be achieved through military victory over our enemies.

I just wanted to be sure some one thanked you for your accurate post. The enemy knows of the dissent here in the USA, this encourages them greatly. I wish the dissenters could put the leftist bias aside and drop the deliberate ignorance at least while our military is defending us, them and our country. Is it noble or intelligent to only select the facts that support a preconcieved conclusion? The greatest oxy-moron I know is "open-minded liberal."

O come on. They have our guys standing guard surrounded by a little barbed wire under street lamps for Christs sake. Read about all the coutner operations you want, where are the heads of those who killed our people?

You're the one who needs to do some reading, because you're just not clued in to what's going on over there.

From the 7 Nov Wash Times, "Inside the Ring:"

Pre-emption
It is not a perfect solution, but the Army is trying a combination of boots on the ground and high-tech surveillance to stop the placement of improvised explosive devices (IEDs) in Iraq.

The IEDs come in many forms, but one thing is consistent: Saddam Hussein loyalists place them along the path of unsuspecting American convoys and then detonate them by remote control when the vehicles pass by.

The 4th Infantry and 1st Armored divisions, which occupy the most dangerous territory in Iraq, are flying drones with night-piercing infrared sensors to spot the terrorists in the act. The intelligence is passed along to sniper scout teams, who go to the spot and kill the saboteurs. One soldier told us the 4th ID scouts had killed more than 10 guerrillas in one week as they tried to hide IEDs.

The 4th ID soldiers, whose sector includes the notorious Tikrit, also are doing something that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld might find transformational. They have taken Austrian hunting rifles seized from Saddam's army and used them as their long-range sniper rifles. They go out at night, finding their prey with advanced night-vision goggles. The terrorists look like deer caught in the headlights.

And today's news tells of 35 arrests/captures of those involved with the hotel bombing.

Get real, and make it simple, like it really is.

At the end of the day the score is who is still "verticlal" and who is "horizontal" with xx on their eyes.

Too many GI deaths, and no rag head bodies to report.

The military can write all the plans and good ideas they want, use all the high tech shit they can dream up, and if the score keeps getting posted like it has been lately, it is time for a new commander, someone who knows how to fight this thing.

If you disagree with my simple viewpoint, I would suggest that you don't volunteeer to fight. You'll get wasted while you are trying to analyze the thing.

I keep thinking you'll stop making foolish comments, yet you continue full steam ahead. I admire your persistence, if not your knowledge (or lack thereof).
