Nope. Permanent vegetative state patients have a circadian sleep/wake cycle, and can instinctually move, including opening eyes.

You're describing a coma, not a vegetable like Terri.

Post #17:

Thanks for this uplifting story.

The beautiful Maria Tetto better watch her back, since the evil ACLU shysters may try to pull her life support!

The reason NOW and the other FemiNazis spit on Terri is because womens' issues are NOT their priority, amazingly enough. These organizations are just classic "fronts" for the Democratic National Committee.

Insurance company now out of business. Lawyers we need to hear from--the original plaintiff's atties, and the defense team.

Could it be...

The defense knew the company would be shortly defunct, and decided not to try too hard...?

Terri's tube goes directly into her stomach. It is comfortable. Most people don't even notice that it is there.

More than felos as a curse, indeed, felos-de-se is an apt description for the bunch.

Or it could be.

You must be confusing the terms permanent and persistent. Terri's still a person, whether or not you like to refer to her as a vegetable. A vegetable is one of the food groups. Terri certainly doesn't fit the bill there, unless you're a cannibal, and then she would be considered part of the meat group, not vegetable.

I believe it is from a trip Terri took to the mall to get her hair fixed pre 1992 trial. It is posted to the terrisfight.org website without caption. The first is from 1990.

The pictures speak for themselves. You know darn well the photograpers did not have to wait any 4 hours to get their nice photos!

Terri is SO overdue to be sprung from that place and go home with her mom. "From my mouth to God's ears. . . ."

That's photographers. Photograpers are only found in vineyards.

The plot thickens. If Terri was a purging bulimic, she WOULD be subject to lethal hypokalemia (deadly low potassium levels) which might have caused her disability. The "malpractice" scam perpetuated by the husband would be most unfair to the doctors, I would venture.

That's some pretty intense purging for an otherwise healthy woman of normal weight.

True, but we are not talking about anorexia nervosa here. I have seen lots of normal weight and slightly pudgy women (and a few men) who massively purge. They would be 200 kilos (450 pounds) if they did not purge.
