To be sure, the current allegations of voter fraud don't compare to the days when politicians bought rounds at watering holes and slipped sawbucks around for votes. This man needs to get out more.

But to some Democrats, it's a case of voter intimidation that echoes Jim Crow days in the Old South. And it could set a precedent for the 2004 election, as a nation still jittery from the Florida fiasco of 2000 heads to the polls. Gee .. Terry Mcauliffe was in Philly claiming the same thing .. telling people that Republicans would take their pictures in an attempt to intimidate voters
Must be the new DNC memo talking points

Now poll watchers are 'racists'. Unbelievable.
Remind me to tell you the story of the time I was a 'poll watcher' on the West side of Chicago sometime.
The Daley folks were handing out liquor, but I was the one who ended up being a 'guest of the City' at 12th and State.

Now poll watchers are 'racists'. Unbelievable. The race card, don't you love it? They deal it from the bottom of the deck in so many ways.

Now poll watchers are 'racists'. Unbelievable Yep .. Terry Mcauliffe was spewing the same BS up here in Philly
IMO .. it's an attempt to stop us from watching out for voter fraud and get the black voters ticked off at the same time

This reminds me of a meeting I once attended.....it was stressed that you don't put locks on the cupboards to keep people from stealing, you put locks on the doors to keep temptation out of their way.

"There seems to be a pattern of a power-grab by Republicans ... from Florida to California to Texas and now in the West End of Jefferson County," says Mark Riddle, executive director of the Kentucky Democratic Party. It should read....... ""There seems to be a pattern of a power-grab by Democrats by means of vote fraud, illegal alien voting, etc. ... from Florida to California to Texas and now in the West End of Jefferson County,"

Oh bull.
My sister who lives in Queens saw first hand some real fraud during the last race at her polling place. They didn't even bother to hide it.
PS She's a lifelong democrat who was so disgusted she's now voting GOP.

Extra poll watchers are allowed everywhere in the US. In the past, they were used mostly in the South, but today they're common in places like Chicago, Philadelphia, and Albany - aging urban areas where one party or another controls the political "machine." Even in those elections, though, challengers usually reside in the precincts they monitor. A reputable Freeper once posted that in Chicago, many of the "Republican" poll watchers are actually Democrats whose sole employment is to be a "Republican" (registered, active in the party, etc.) for the purposes of looking the other way at the crucial moment.

Why arent they discussing jessee jackasson and his rent a racist mob in Florida the day after the election. Why not discuss the racist review of Florida claims of racial harrassment of voters. They found nothing but still said it happened anyway cause crackers are known to be mischievious. What about the 9th circus in the Calif elections launching a preemptory attack on the voting machines. Fimocrats have more nerve than a broken tooth.

He's looking, after all, for felons, foreigners, or anyone else not eligible to vote. But to some Democrats, it's a case of voter intimidation . . .This sentence says it all. If I attempt to keep people who legally cannot vote I am now intimidating voters. Incredible!

Lets see, the Democrat party says illegal aliens are "intimidated" by investigation and arrest. Our poor Negroes are "intimidated" by poll watchers. Hell, I'm intimidated by the IRS. Get over it>

The GOP ain't gonna take it any more! True, and the Democrats are going to accuse us of terrible motives, when we are just beginning to challenge 100% Dem control of many precincts around the country. McAuliffe, and his cronies were so used to not having any opposition, that for Republicans to exercise lawful poll watching action is perceived as a threat to 'minority' voters.
This will be a new drumbeat on 'black' radio stations and CSPAM call-in shows, adding to the 'the unelected president' slur -
I actually felt nauseated when I read this new insult, but the good news is that there are Republicans who are going to be active in working toward honest elections.
