Maybe, but spraying beetles would be the third or fourth step down the road in dealing with the problem. It's expensive and relatively ineffective in that kind of stand density. It's just hard to penetrate.

When I was into mountain treks and winter camping, we gathered our own firewood for campfires, twigs and fallen branches, even ax felled dead trees. Perfectly natural.

Then even to pick up a branch became a felony.

Earth Day watermellon environazis have foisted their pantheistic utopia upon us at the cost common sense and safety. Look at a 60 y.o. Boy Scout Field Book - and weep. Much of their useful field craft is now illegal. Look at a curent Boy Scout Field Book to appreciate the sad propaganda now taught.
