John Major is probably the only leader in world history to lose an election with such a fantastic economy.

Also because Major was backstabbing hypocritical twit who angered, divided and destroyed own political party.

Margaret Thatcher came from a middle class background. So did John Major, if I recall correctly.

Hard to imagine what definition of 'middle class' would apply to John Major's upbringing!

"and a ballerina" ... did they know he was a ballerina when they elected him their leader? I realize Conservative M.P.'s like to wear ladies' undergarments, but, come on, a line's got to be drawn somewhere.
