That's an excellent point. I think the Prosecution is NOT going to do anything inflammatory so that the Defense can come back later with an excuse for appeal. Besides, if they don't need it yet, all the better. The Jury needs to hear Peterson's OWN voice.!! I'm convinced in my mind that the Prosecution has more than enough to cross the probable cause threshold.

Hey, you know, we've all accepted as fact that Amber is not guilty of helping Scott do this, or of doing it herself. BUT no court has determined that. And it's possible that the type of taping she did, if she taped phone calls on her own, might not be legal under CA law.

So theoretically Amber is in danger of possibly incriminating herself on the witness stand. That is as legitimate a reason as there ever was, for Amber's attorney to be present in the courtroom during this.

Oh Sandy - I'm sure the Prosecution team at least has worked extensively with Amber. They have probably held "mock" trials where one of them will play Geragos or McAllister and really get rough on her. THAT is how they usually prepare them. Doubt this case will be any different. She is so very vital to it.

Amber agreed to have her phone tapped, unlike like the Tripp tapes. They will be admissable, I think because she agreed to have them monitored by LE, they will be used in the trial. These tapes were not made on her own.

Maybe a hearing on those issues, as in using the same judge who sealed the search warrants (his name starts with a "B"). I swear I've read that Girolami would preside over the trial if he found the evidence at the prelim was adequate to warrant one.

Not to worry blondee. They will have the maid prepared. It certainly can't be any problem finding a Spanish speaking interpreter in California. Basically, all she has to do is confirm that she mopped the floor, the whole floor, and confirm he regular routine for cleaning.
