"The next year he advised Attorney General Janet Reno on what kind of gas to use to end the Federal Government's standoff with a religious group in Waco, Texas."

He was asked - he answered. Which part don't you get? Was his advise taken into account? No one tells you that. Probably not. Otherwise the noise would be much louder.

Maybe *his* god was pissed at Koresh's god, and told Boykin to recommend outlawed gasses, that would make it understandible.

Maybe *piss poor* godless minds cannot understand that "advised" does not mean "recommended the gas ACTUALLY USED" nor does it mean "decided"...

You are absolutely correct, I recall completely that the "I was just following orders" was mentioned at the same place as the Zyklon-B, Nuremburg.

Didn't do them much good it seems

Oh B.S.

Boykin wasn't recommending gas for the gas chambers. The questions had to do with gases used for crowd control and the such.

You're slandering a very good man who has laid his life out on the line for this country many times and for many years.

It's Time magazine!

They would have us believe Sterno said, "What kind of gas do I us, Colonel Boykin?"

A quick google -- honest, CNN is the best I could do with so little time -- found this CNN report. To wit,

Army reportedly declined to review FBI approach to Waco siege "Can't grade your paper" From CNN National Security Producer Chris Plante

August 31, 1999 Web posted at: 2:41 a.m. EDT (0641 GMT)

WASHINGTON (AllPolitics, August 31) -- Just days before the fiery end to the Waco standoff, top Army Special Forces officials were asked to offer their views of an FBI assault plan for the Branch Davidian compound but refused to do so, CNN has learned. . . According to a once-secret Army memo, Gen. Peter Jan Schoomaker, who was in charge of a special forces unit at the time, declined to provide an assessment of the FBI plan for the siege of the compound. [end excerpt]

Col Boykin was with Brig. Gen. Schoomaker.

Time lied? That's how I read it. See for yourself.

He recommended gasses, outlawed to be used against enemy soldiers in war, against American women and children. And you call him a good man?

So we have Time (obviously an impartial source) reporting that Boykin advised Reno on Waco. Given who Boykin is and what the Clinton Administration was that sounds somewhat improbable, but not too improbable for certain truth seekers on this board who can hardly contain their glee.

What was that little quote in the article about Arkin being "an independent military scholar". There's several big fat lies in that statement alone. But far be it from us to question such a paragon of truth as Time.

Boykin represents everything the left in this country hates and they think there's blood in the water. CAIR which is nothing less than a mouthpiece for Islamic terrorism has found an idealogical partner in much of the media. This Administration needs to stand tall on Boykin.

I agree completely. Especially about Arkin.

My dream is that Lt. Gen. Boykin leaves the military and runs for president in 2004. He gets elected asking for a mandate to win the war. President Bush of course wants to win the war also -- over there. Lt. Gen. Boykin can beat George W. Bush by advocating winning the war both over there and here!

Our House is pulling apart so much that it will collapse inwardly.

If Lt. Gen. Boykin promises an end to ILLEGAL immigration, an end to pandering to the radical "American" muslim pukes, an end to stupid leftist pig vomit tricks, an end to the Democrat leaders' calls to surrender our sovereignty to international forces, an end to tolerating sedition. . . . He will win, IMO. America will win.

What would Abe Lincoln do?
