Most of us in the Protest Warrior group were young people in college up to people in the early thirties. We did have a slight sense of invisibility, for we really didn't care what the other side thought. We had a great time.

>>point his finger in my face and said he was offended<<
Funny.... We recently had a thread about people being "offended." Excellent read!
Bravo to our side and Booo to the losers on the other side!

BUMP to you

I think there were thousands. I've been in DC protests before (all of them on the annual March for Life), and I can tell you that there were a lot less at today's event than the annual March for Life.

At the BOTTOM of an
AP story about the protesters they actually mention FR, WAY down at the bottom.
The D.C. chapter of Free Republic, an independent grass-roots conservative group, gathered a few dozen people at the U.S. Capitol to show support for Bush and the troops in Iraq.
"Whether or not the war should have started is a moot point," said Eric Campbell, a 32-year-old who served in the 1991 Persian Gulf War. "We have to stay if anything for the Iraqi people."

As far as I know, no one did that. There were some of the "God hates fags" folks further down Constitution Avenue from us harassing the protesters. Here's a pic of two of them:

Ruben Israel, left, of Los Angeles, and Stephen James, right, of Somerset, Penn., heckle anti-war demonstrators as they march in Washington to protest the U.S. troops presence in Iraq (news - web sites) on Saturday, Oct. 25, 2003. The thousands strong march, labeled 'Bring the Troops Home Now, End the Occupation of Iraq,' was organized by the groups A.N.S.W.E.R. Coalition (Act Now To Stop War And Racism) and United For Peace And Justice. (AP Photo/Gerald Herbert)

Apparently the media plan to give the protests MASSIVE coverage and mention you guys in the last few lines, thats their idea of balanced journalism.

That's kind of funny that Xinhua did a story on us. Of course, they had to spin it, since there was a bit of a physical confrontation between us, but it didn't get too out of hand.
