Must have tagged along with the image of the J. Lohr Seven Oaks Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon label. Serves me right for not grabbing the image from the J. Lohr site in the first place.

Yoplait and Dannon are French owned companies. Don't buy their products. Along with Michelin and Uniroyal.

French winemakers marked up the 2000 vintage 300%-400%...that's why gross sales are up.

At first it required some effort to resist the buzz over the 2000 Bordeaux. But there are so many enjoyable wines available that I don't think twice about it any more.

"Soon, retailers hope, all of their customers will put politics aside and make their buying decisions based on quality and value."

I find that I can maintain fidelity with both the values of liberty and "buying decisions based on quality and value."

Costco has some rockin' good deals on occasion. Picked up a $35 1998 Jordan cab that should be just the ticket around the turn of the first decade of he 21st century. Wonder what we'll be celebrating then?

French Wines Still Facing Hard Times in U.S. Market

Americans still remember French are a bunch of cheese-eating surrender monkeys

Oh, I had forgotten, the white flag fanatics do make a little wine, don't they? Doesn't mean I gotta buy it.

I've been rebuilding my cellar, picked up some nice vino from the US and Aussie 2000 vintage. An uneven year but still no reason to ignore the jammy tidbits out there.

I've been pretty happy so far with the zins and shiraz. Some good buys on 'du Pape and Port.

BTW - Drinking a fab Rosenblum Rockpile Zin right now. One of my favorite Zin wineries now, I used to only drink Russian River.

The foolish french have made the public realize there is competition in the wine industry. The French have successfuly taught the US market that their quality is not without equal.
