I found the editorial interesting, but also wondered why I had never heard of OpEdNews.com before. The author is Rob Kall who is described as editor of www.OpEdNews.Com a tough liberal news and opinion website.

All manufacturing careers are going overseas.

More doom and gloom, the sky is falling, from the loony left. Yes, jobs are going overseas. No, I don't like that. Yes, we have far too many unemployed. But, ALL manufacturing? No.

Twenty years ago my husband and a friend of his started a manufacturing company. Just two guys in a small shop. Through their hard work it is now a large facility on ten acres. Employees about 90 people, give or take depending on the work orders. Right after Sept. 11 business came to a screeching halt. Now, business is booming like crazy. No jobs are outsourced. They hire good old fashioned Americans. And, shock of shocks, it's manufacturing! And its right here in the good old US of A.

As a side note I thought you might appreciate this story. One day a union rep. (goon?) showed up at my husband's company. He had barely gotten out of his car when my husband chased him off the property telling him not to come back. A few days later he came back and a bunch of the guys from the shop, welding hats and gear on) chased him off the property telling him not to come back. What does that say when the "working stiff" employees don't want the union around.

What? You think these big old corporations have any allegiance left for America or it's people? I hope you are not that naive.

Do unions suck? Yup. But so do places like Wal-mart that sell mostly Communist Chinese products, while illegal aliens work in their stores.

Have not the events regarding the mass outsourcing of our jobs rang your bell? Have you looked at the devastation this so called free trade has done?

Ever stood on the dock of a major port and watch thousands of empty containers being loaded onto cargo ships, while other vessels headed this way, are backed up from her to Hawaii loaded with full containers of Communist Chinese products?

Go have a look, it's a real eye opener. If that don't ring your bell, nothing will.....
