My daughter has a pile of these "Beanie Babies" from when they first came out. Most of them are stuffed at the bottom of her closet or jammed under her bed gathering dust. (She's 16. Her room is a nightmare - - you have to shuffle your feet to walk through it.) I have no idea if she tore off the tags when she was little, but that would be likely.
