Yes, it's true, Europeans are not yet ready for self-government.
They are best left to their little, independent countries.

Cool,......"they could always, 'Bury Them',....!" ,,, they had a shot at that in the Australian desert in the 1950s. They stayed down for a short time and then went bang.

You don't really think Continental Europe will ever spend the kind of money to make its military even remotely equivalent to the US, or indeed, anything more than something with capabilities only ancillary to what would be a primarily American mission, about anything of any import to the balance of power? No, I didn't think so. And just WHAT would the EU do with nukes even if it had them? This is ALL so hilarious.

That won't happen. What the EU has forgotten is that someone has to PAY for developing that military.

Which is why team France is really about trying to leash the US juggernaut through international organizations. The French are NOT dumb - certainly not as dumb as this hyperventalating Sun screed, which it wrote for its red meat masses.

,,, I think they realised their bombs worked and closed the programme down. Many British, Australian, New Zealand and Fijian soldiers suffered cancer and subsequent deaths from the effects of radiation doses in those tests. Successive British governments have always managed to deflect resulting claims quite skillfully.

The one thing this article said that DID make sense is that both Britain and france will have to give up their seat on the security council and be replaced by an EU representative.
To: McGavin999
That actually does indeed make sense.

Uh...yeah. Visions of spike-helmeted Huns goose-stepping through London with a MIRV in tow are perhaps a bit overblown. You gotta love the Sun...

And just WHAT would the EU do with nukes even if it had them?"Forget about seceding from the EU or we'll evaporate your biggest city."
