Listen I could care less about your "team" But no other team in Sports flips players like the Yankees. Agree? Or do I have to prove it? I really don't think that is a fact that needs any backup.
How's Hideki Irabu doing these days? heheh
Heh heh....I was at games 4 and 5, and it was pretty obvious (even to the rude, knuckle-headed yankee fans in attendance) that this is the Marlin's year.
I don't have a voice, and I'm dead tired - having to get up @ 5AM the past two days to go to work, but I wouldn't trade the experience for anything - and THIS coming from a Giant fan! (albeit, a Giant fan who attended around 20 Marlin games this year).
You can't "arrogance" your way into a World Series Championship - you have to play your way there. And like it or not, the Marlins have your number. Just like they had the Phillie's number. Just like they had the Giant's number. Just like they had the Cub's number.
Face it F16, your team is going down, and it's going down tomorrow night at the hands of a 23 year old kid who throws lightening and doesn't give a crap about your "storied history."
Your link is wrong, buddy. Clemens became a Yankee on the first day of spring training of 1999 due to a trade. David Wells, Graeme Lloyd, and Homer Bush were traded to the Blue Jays in exchange for Clemens. Just because you found a link which reflects your wrong assertion, doesn't make the info correct.
And you despise any player who wears the NYY Logo. Inconsistent much?
"After the season, he was traded back to the Blue Jays for Roger Clemens, but continued to win north of the border, with records of 17-10 and 20-8 over the next two years."

Pretty funny.

Oh, NOW you decide to surface, Joe?? Where were you when Beckett lost game 3, and the Marlin pen was being torched and you were down 2-1? The Yanks stormed back against you in game 4, and should have won it, and AND almost to storm back in the 9th of game 5. If you were at the game, you only got an inkling of what will be occuring in games 5 and 6....
Your nickle and dime team ain't won squat yet....It takes 4 to win the Series, and you won't be getting it in New York. Nope, not in my house. They're done toying with you. You will now personally experince the grave yard known as Yankee Stadium. Yes, the New York Yankees "storied history" commands it.
Beckett?? He hasn't beaten the Yanks, has he? In fact he hasn't beat anybody in the entire playoffs BUT the Cubs. McKeon has panicked. With three days rest he won't be able to take down the Bronx Bombers, and neither will Pavano. They won't have enough.
Aaah...Coming back like this will be so gratifying for me. Soooo agonizing for you. You see -- we Yankees Fans have been through the drill before. We know what the script is. The Yanks will win the World Series because it is theirs.
Exactamundo.
However, the argument for starting both Beckett and Pavano -- even on only 3 days rest -- might hinge on starting an effective starter (Pavano) as a viable backup, rather than having Redmond involved at all, who was lit up in game 2 and would be again.
Now, what was the name of that other team? I forget...
