Yes there was the time Rush was laughing hysterically at that doctored photo of Rush and Michael Jackson. You know, the balcony one. Rush mentioned it on his show and the Free Republic server crashed from all the traffic.

Madrasas 101

The madrasas are not your ordinary elementary school. These are schools of hate and murder, hate and murder targeted at Americans primarily. From these schools came the hijackers of 911. They killed 3000 of my brothers and sisters.

The present Islamic Terrorist wave is born and spread from these madrases. The word Taliban means student. In war you kill the enemy. Its simple. If you don't the enemy kills you. We did not start this war. Matter of fact, we turned the other cheek more times than Linda Blair in the excorcist. Remember that it was the second time the WTC was bombed in 911.

"The Taliban are a young generation who grew in the Pakistani camps- refugee camps. They were educated in seminaries or 'madrases' in Pakistan. These madrases are founded mainly by private donors and some governments in the Middle East and usually these people are influenced by extremist ideals. But this was not a private enterprise that these people should go to Afghanistan, but it was a combination of the government policy and the private sector and extremists from different parts of the world. Combined together, they wanted to turn Afghanistan into a base for these types of activities.

"You have heard perhaps that Osama Bin Laden has in Afghanistan three to five thousand followers. All of these are not Arabs. Some of them come from Central Asia, from Chechen, from China, from the Sichuan province of China, from Bangladesh, Myanmar; they come, even some Americans and some Australians. All the people have gone there. How they have gone there, they have flown to Pakistan, have studied in Pakistani madrases, and have crossed into the border. So, in a way, the problems of Afghanistan, unfortunately, have started from its neighboring country."

"Ironically it was the terrorist groups and the fundamentalist Islamic groups that began opening hundreds of Islamic religious schools, the madrases, and tens of thousands of boys ended up joining the madrases. It was their only way out of poverty and their only hope for education.
Since '94, when the Taliban took over, over 80,000 boys from these religious schools joined the Taliban. They were fertile recruiting grounds. The Taliban saw a vacuum and they rushed in and they recognized the value of education."

On Rush's last show before his leave, he was cautiously optimistic about the new governor, Arnold. Would that make Rush complicit in the Holocaust in your eyes?

Rush is an Icon, a good American. He is hurting now. I do not think it is time to drag him into a conversation and twist his words. Rush will have plenty to say when he gets back and can then speak for himself.
