Politicians seem to work at only the most basic level - fear and greed. They only respond to money and the fear of consequences if the voters figure out what they are doing.

the only thing that has prevented President George Bush from granting a general amnesty for illegal aliens was the backlash from 9-11

Really? Did he tell you that on the golf course? Maybe in one of the White House meetings?

Against the will of the American people, the Republicans are pushing for a modified form of amnesty for illegals, with the help of the donkey party, to paint themselves as a politically correct, multicultural party. >>>>>>>>>

Looks like a few 'pubbies' might be joining 'Doofus Davis'in the UNEMPLOYMENT line.

Is there a *list* of ANY AMNESTIES our gov't is *pushing* for citizens or legals ???

Even the so-called 'hispanic' voters were against all the PANDERING that Davis did re: the millions of illegals in CA.

Not only will they get "in state" tuition

they are also "minorities" so would get preference in scholarships

work-studies, access to limited places (quota's),benefit in diversity perks

tutors...and be given legs up wherever applicable...

Not only at real citizen taxpayers cost but also at the cost of their children...

Diversity is really planned divisiveness....& the hallmark of a liberal mindset -imo

Wxcept for the "community service" loophole it is an example of the wise immigration reform measures we need.

S-1645 the Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits, and Security Act of 2003

The congress plans to sneak through a bill legalizing 2 million illegal aliens, mostly Mexicans. The bill is S-1645, the Agricultural Job Opportunity, Benefits, and Security Act of 2003. They will try to get it into the Omnibus appropriations bill and pass it without anyone noticing.

The bill would provide temporary residency status to anyone who can prove he or she has been working in agriculture for a certain amount of time up to August 31, 2003. We do not need this and it would leave us open to massive fraud.

WE DON'T NEED IT

If all illegal aliens were deported, America would thrive. Our automation industry would be stimulated by the need to mechanize our farms. Wages for farm work would rise to cover the social costs involved and we would not notice the difference in food prices. For example, it has been said that deportation would raise the cost of lettuce to five dollars a head. It has been shown that for lettuce to cost five dollars, farm workers would have to rise to $235 and hour. That is the work any American would do.

INVITATION TO FRAUD

This is the language of the bill regarding an application for qualification:

---`preliminary application' means a fully completed and signed application which contains specific information concerning the performance of qualifying employment in the United States, together with the payment of the appropriate fee and the submission of photographs and the documentary evidence which the applicant intends to submit as proof of such employment.---

Many Mexicans and others from south of the border have proven to be masters of deceit when it comes to forging documents and lying about status. This bill would lead to such MASSIVE FRAUD, financed and supported by the usual suspects, including MALDEF, LULAC, the National Council of La Raza, the Ford Foundation and Catholic Charities, that the Department of Homeland Security would be overwhelmed and unable to investigate claims. Sponsors claim the bill would cover 500,000. Those who know say millions would be legalized by fraud. This is exactly what happened in the 1987 amnesty.

STOP THIS NONSENSE NOW
Call or write your congressman and Senator now. Tell them to vote no on amnesty, especially S-1645. Stop the fraud. Stop the importation of poverty. Stop the invasion.

Good point. These illegal alien students will also get to jam their way into schools ahead of white American citizens due affirmative action programs.

File this one under the crimes and scams of "diversity"

What we need to is keep the phones, faxes, and emails humming like we did in the Terri Shiavo case. If we really want to, the politicians will listen. Are we going to get off our butts to help kill the misnamed DREAM Act? We have a country to save. LET'S ROLL!!!

(and to your friends)

Although it needs some adjustment, this law is the best kind of immigration reform.

These immigrants did not break the law, they have shown an extra effort to succeed.

Opposing this is irrational IMO.

Living ILLEGALLY in the country for (at least) 5 years is not breaking law? I guess if you robbed a bank, or broke into somebody's house 5 years ago and spent all the money you stole, you would want amnesty because you got away with it for 5 years?

What extra effort did they show? I don't consider going to school like every other US citicen kid is required to do, extra effort. And to boot, they got a at least 5 years education on the backs of American taxpayers.
