LOL! This place is better than ESPN.

Did you see F16Fighter's response to the question 'What is the problem with Weaver?' (before the home run)

Answer - "Nothing 10 years at Double A, and a stint at a sanitarium wouldn't cure."

Too funny!! Of course, I didn't notice Weaver gnawing on his glove or screaming this outing. Probably all happened too fast. I wonder what the odds are in Vegas that Weaver ever pitches in a yankee uniform again.

Well, someone was pretty cranky tonight.

Must be a Cubs fan.

Ah, ye be the prophet, man.

Boone's at-bat in the 11th was a joke.

No, I didn't miss the comeback. However, it showed they can touch up their closer.

Must win tonight.

What is horrifying about Jeff Weaver and Aaron Boone are the players the Yankees gave up for them.

Do a Google and get enraged again.

I haven't seen a gopher ball pitcher like this since Doug Henry.

To put things in proper perspective, I've been a Yankee fan about as long as Castro has been in power. You've been rooting for the Marlins fan for what, 11 days?

Here's the difference between the Yankees and the Marlins in terms even a nouveau-fan like you can appreciate. During the 7th inning stretch at Yankee Stadium, Ronan Tynan of the Irish Tenors sings God Bless America. In Game 3, the Marlins countered with . . . David Cassidy?????

What happened -- Bobby Trendy had a better gig?

David Cassidy?

See, I'm torn because I like Pettite, respect Torre as one of the best to ever coach, and would like to see Rocket go out on top.

But, living in Florida....

Decisions, decisions, decisions...

Now, the fact that LarryK and Reno live in South Florida may sway me. But then, NY has the three headed serpent as Senator. Dangitall.

But, living in Florida....

Wasn't South Florida originally a part of NYC?

OTOH the Marlins are a type of fish.

Need I elaborate?

The David Cassidy thing put me in an eye twitch for about 10 minutes. And that skaggy woman--eeeeeooow. Rode hard & put away wet.

let's hope they get someone who was popular in this century to sing tonight. I'm just sad Celia Cruz isn't around (but then, she lived in NJ).

I feel compelled to comment here: Shelby Lynn Moorer is, as far as I know, a staunch conservative. She has been through hell. Her father, a bandleader, was a violent alcoholic. When Shelby was 17 her father shot his wife dead in the family's driveway, then turned the gun on himself while his daughters looked on. Lynne took charge of raising her sister, (Allison Moorer, also a C&W singer) and married her high school sweetheart prior to their move to Nashville.

Because of her refusal to go along with the image Nashville was looking for and her refusal to relinquish control of her career she was "banished" to smaller labels, where she has continued to record

Not everyone woman who is not blessed with pin-up looks is a lesbian. Perhaps you'd have rather heard a Brittney Spears clone singing God Bless America.

I feel better now.

No.

But I would've perferred someone who combed her hair and didn't look like she just woke up with a hangover.
