"Maybe this is what they want so they can ask for more $$$ to combat crime."
Money, yes, but chaos in the streets is the important goal here.

i'm going to step back, count to 10, and take a deep breath...this is a joke isn't it?
i live in NY state and cannot get a carry permit...this thing can't make it easier for illegals than for an american citizen to obtain a gun. please, tell me your kidding!

Ummm, I think the point is that in Mass it's gonna be the right of those willing to use fake ids. And since that's primarily illegal aliens, it means the illegals will have the guns but not the sheeple. I see the day coming very soon when we are ALL going to need fake papers.

This is ridiculous! I can't even have a gun in Chicago! Says who?
All laws which are repugnant to the Constitution are null and void.

So then you're not limited to a relatively inefficient handgun, whose concealability is of overblown concern rather than its mechanical reliability or ballistic effectiveness. If they won't *permit* you to carry what you choose, than you can choose to use or carry anything you like despite their bureaucratic restrictions or limitations. Good for you.

IF carrying a firearm is a God-given right - Does this right extend only to: a) Citizens of the US or b) all inhabitants of the world? Citzens of the world. However illegal aliens are committing a crime by their presence. They may be disarmed until they can be deported, at which point the question is moot, as they are in general, then beyond the reach of any US state or local government.
As far as infringements by their own governments, well they need to take it up those governments the way Americans did in 1775.
Enemy combatents may also be disarmed. But only as long as the war lasts, then they may return to their civilian occupations, in their home country with their rights restored. Their "issue" weapons may be kept, since they were not their personal property anyway. That's what happened after our own "Civil" War. Lee surrendered his sword, but was not barred from owning other weapons. He, like other Confederate soldiers, even got to keep his horse.

If you want to carry one in the United States, become a law abiding Citizen. Or a law abiding legal alien. IMHO. Doesn't a Swiss buisinessman have as much right to protect himself while working in New York City (or Houston, if you want a place where the local citizenry can be legally armed in self defense) as he would in the absolute worst part of Bern or Geneva? (Of course the assault rifle in the homes of virtually everyone makes the "worst part" not so very bad). What about a Korean who is a legal resident with a green card and needs to defend his business premisis, as well as his home or apartment? These folks can't become citizens the day they walk off the boat or the airplane, or they just be temporarily assigned to the US, with no desire or intent to become citizens. They are still people and the Supreme Court has ruled that they are even part of "The People" whose rights are protected by the bill or rights. They may speak freely, attend whatever church, synagogue or temple they wish, their place of residence may not be invaded without a warrant or proximate probable cause.

Im not against someone protecting themselves. Yes, there should be a provision for people here legally to acquire a gun. But, it should require background checks and be of a limited nature until they are citizens.
