So someone who has a vested financial interest in her death should alone be permitted to decide her fate? I don't think so.

That's what all this is about. Anyone who sues for and wins a large amount of money based on having to care for his stricken spouse for the rest of her life and then turns around and wants her dead is no longer fit to be her guardian.

It's a simple case on conflict of interest and the court he bought has never once recognized that.

FYI from another post.

"This is the second time he has denied Terri's family the opportunity to visit her. He prohibitied them from any further unsupervised visits on October 15 following
revelations that Terri's father Bob Schindler has muggled a videotape into her room in 2001 to take a video of Terri responding to her mother. "

Makes you wonder doesn't it? Why wouldn't he want peoplet to see her respond to her mother? Because she isn't in a vegetative state that's why.

Thanks for the comments. One benefit of this situation, is that we can discuss it now & for the future. It may not be over...?? What you are saying in #161, others have said:

bad precedent - this & that... AND some future Dem...
"capricious"? In THIS case, stronger and eariler action by Jeb would not have been "capricious". He was saving a human life.

1.- What could Gov. Jeb have done this time, that would have been eariler and stronger?,   2.- For what PURPOSE   3.- Some future Dem action.

1.- I'm not sure of all his options. Send State Troopers and a medical team; *Personal Visit* to Terri w/ a medical team by Jeb; *=> more forcefully using the bully pulpit in the week & days BEFORE the tube was removed; ....

2.- For What Purpose? Was it because he didn't agree with some ruling? - NO! - Because it was a Rouge judge, who was agreeing to Kill Terri, & a bunch of other suspicious weirdness and incompentance and injustice in this case.
Guardian 'Angel' Michael -the husband -didn't want her to live. Good reasons, bad reasons... go read his statement - (Tues?) & decide. Michael says she is 'gone' / vegetable. The parents and Terri's website say she is STILL (was on Sat.) STILL alive and responsive. I'm not there, I saw a recent still photo. Terri is alive & responsive. Others have seen the videos. For What Purpose? - To Save a Human Life! It would have been a showdown with a (corrupt) rouge judge. And, time was of the essence.

3. Future Dem ...?? - If the Future Dem is SAVING a Human Life, what - is - our - problem - with - THAT?!
If the future Dem wanted to arbitralily / "capriciously" take control of the govt. - then yes, - we at FR would (ALL) have a problem with that!

I don't know how much time I'll be able to further discuss this. But it's an important subject.

I'm not the expert & Not the Guv. Because of the unknowns in this case, and Terri was alive, and the Parents & siblings loved and cared for her very much, and questions about the -possible- unholy alliance of Michael, Felos, & Greer.. I would really admire a Guv who days before, is resolved (that in THIS case), THAT Tube is not coming out. And if it does, -I'm putting it back in-. And in the weeks and days before, get the advice, discuss the options, don't necessarily 'show your hand', but use the bully pulpit -'big time'- (NOT, 'I'd really like to help, & my heart goes out to the Schindlers, but you know...the law just says, I can't...so...'}, be willing to risk his/her career in defense of the Right to Life as described in the Declaration of Independance, ... and then what? On that fateful Wed., hopefully you've got public support behind you. There were several legal experts who said he had the legal right and duty to act. If you don't have the public support, then he would have been one of few, doing what is right. Exactly what he would do, I don't know. The actual actions are important, but first I would like to have seen the rock solid and public display of resolve. If there was some behind the scenes 'politicing' going on, ... do we say 'good for you Jeb!'? As another said, the jury is still out. Six days, no food & water for Terri.

Pray she has not sunk further in her brain damage due to the build up of toxins in her blood stream. - by MHGinTN   - after six   l-o-n-g   days.

At this time, I'm not quite applauding Jeb's actions. I think only God knows for sure about the Gov's actions. If Gov. Bush was truly taking the wisest, and most prudent approach... if the six days was in God's timing... if God approves of Jeb's actions... fine with me. But until I hear more details, and here from some "Vigil" people, I still have my questions & criticisms.

And now I see FR thread titles; 'Michael won't let the Parents visit Terri'. This may not yet be over. God help Terri and the Family. And God help us.
