the monsignor......wanted then to carry out an exorcism on Michael...
If he ever does, I'd love to help. Bet it would be the first time they ever saw pea soup knocked out of a demon with a baseball bat.

So God can and does take care of things when necessary.
I heard a similar story. A lawyer who apparently lived to make other people's lives miserable, was set to put another notch on his belt with a Christian whose mother was a staunch believer in prayer. Alas, he had a freak and 'tragic' tractor accident shortly before he could wreak any more evil. I don't believe that is exactly the result the mother was praying for, but whatever justice the Lord wieldeth......

I feel the same way. The very idea that a husband has the right to condemn an unwanted wife to a cruel, inhumane punishment and torture that will lead to her death, rather than divorce her is so appalling to me.
We are not living in medieval times, or the dark ages, when men controlled every aspect of a women's life, even her life. He could lock her away and no one would or could , lift a finger. In essence, this is the same as is happening to Terri.
Didn't we have a Women's Liberation Movement confirm and celebrate Women's Rights? Whatever happened to the year of the Woman? Where are the female Senators? Where is NOW?

I have a hypothetical question maybe someone could help me with. IF Jeb just went with one of the legal briefs that said he has the authority to stop this (even IF they are wrong) and just DID it...what would be the ramifications to Jeb? I certainly do believe he would be hailed as a hero but what, if anything besides pissin' and moanin' could the liberals do about him saving her life (especially without looking like the ghouls they are). Thanks.

Actually, they can (and already ARE) make his life miserable via legal actions and public letters of protest (for his simple act of having filed a friend of the court letter on Terri's behalf a week or two ago).
However, when it comes to saving a life, you save it, and then deal with the repercussions, later.
If it costs him his job, so be it. NOT saving Terri will likely cost him his job, as well, so he needs to act on the basis of what is RIGHT, not what is good for his political future.

All I can say is that for his sake Terri better be saved today. His dilly-dallying in this matter is worse than unconscionable.

I agree. You would think that a Catholic, like Bush, I'd be all the MORE upset, the way Terri's chaplain has been denied access to her for communion/last rites. (I am upset, and I am an Evangelical Protestant.)
