Beauty and brains--AND SHE'S SINGLE. Not only is she the Joan of Arc of the right, she's the Lorena Bobbit of conservative critique (no one can cut far left down to size like she can). I always look forward to anything she has to say.

As one who understands addiction, we arent doing Rush any favors pretending that his addiction was for medicinal purposes
Are you privy to information the rest of us do not have? No one has demonstrated that his drug addiction was to "Recreational" drugs. His complaint was one of "pain" for which the drugs were "prescribed". He became addicted to them on that account. Unless you have proof that is incorrect you owe him an apology!

Are you an expert? How would you know what Limbaugh's pain situation was? Bret Favre admitted to taking fifty Vicodin a day and being an addict. There is no bigger hero in Wisconsin and everyone here understands what great pain will force people to do. I've never been in chronic severe pain, so how am I or you to judge the amount of medicine other people who are in severe pain take.

Such an odd phenomenon, isn't it, seeing people post in a manner that suggests that they would feel better about Rush' plight if he's 'just addicted to prescription pain pills'.

The difference between him and the guy on the street is that he had the resources to avoid having to commit violent crime to feed his addiction. No.
The difference between him and the guy on the street is that he is going into rehab before he lost everything, not after. As for finding 10 addicts and paying for their treatment, I bet that Rush not only does that, but founds some sort of drug rehab clinic.
I would be far more interested to know what drug was being intrevenously injected into Clinton during his first days in the White House. The White House staff physician who was first ordered to administer it refused to do without knowledge of what was in the hypodermic needle. He was summarily fired.
Did you make any cryptic comments about that at the time?

I'm thinking that since Rush checked himself into a 30-day rehab (3rd time's the charm?), he might have thought that he was taking too many. YMMV, however.

And when you're buying it from your housekeeper and doing 100 pills a day it's not "medication to combat debilitating pain."From a call in M.D.: "100 pills a day is incompatible with human life." I don't think the maid is preaching Gospel.
