He'd have done better to spend his money on psychoanalysis than on twisted rebellion and drug production. If you are attempting to get sympathy from me for this clown, you won't do it.

You think I posted this just to get sympathy from you? I can't begin to tell you how far off the mark that thought is.

Recently, a friend out here gave me some copies of an American gun magazine, Petersen's RifleShooter. Last night I read the November/December 2003 issue, before bed. Here's a selection of the ads and articles:

*FN special police FN USA trains its sights on the law enforcement market
*Extreme Shock the world's premier anti-terrorist rounds
Life or Death (with pic of sniper in ski mask) Leupold tactical
*the new Leupold Tactical (with pic of sniper and spotter)
*Fear no Evil Springfield Armory (with pic of SF sniper in facepaint)
Tactical Scopes by David M. Fortier
Super Sniper the world's largest dealer for sport optics

Basically, the magazine is for people who want to shoot other people. I guess if they're wearing a badge, like the FBI snipers in your story, that's okay. Do they get full peer-group acclaim, if the kills are just a couple of pot smokers?

"They were normal people."

This sums it all up. If this is the best the anti-WOD people can come up with, they're a pretty sad bunch. These two out-of-touch with reality homosexuals weren't the best spokemen in the world for legalizing drugs.

RLK,

I agree with you.

The only good nutso, fudge packing, gun toting, pot head is a dead, nutso, fudge packing, gun toting, pot head. I have not an ounce of sympathy.

Bravo to our government for exterminating this vermin!

I think I'm gonna get flamed for this, but what the hey.

I had sympathy for the guy. Nothing in the story justifies getting murdered by federal agents. But...

Later that day, .223-size bullets were fired at a WNDU-TV news helicopter, putting a hole in a rear stabilizer. Later someone also shot at a Michigan state police plane.

I'm a private pilot. The above actions are attempted murder, the number of counts of which are determined by the number of people in each aircraft at which he shot. I still don't think he should have been shot (assuming the story was told without bias or misrepresentation), but at this point I went from supporting the guy to hoping he'd serve a lot of years in federal penitentiary.

You are damn right. I think for example that Rush Limbaugh (an opiate user) should have been tracked down and had his brains blown out just to show the anti-WoD crowd we are seerious. No sympathy from me. Rush is a leader of nutcases after all.

And face it, GW Bush tried some cocaine, so he should probably go too, if we are really into cleaning up the world.

I have offered before, without takers, to come to anyone's small town and skunk out all the hidden druggies that most Freepers know (but pretend not to). I'm sure we can get old Aunt Tillie (who's overdoing her arthritus medicine) a bullet for her head. At the very least we can get some abusers down at your office, or maybe some coked out streetwalkers late at night. I'm ready and willing, just let me know when and where I should show up. 'll clean up your drug problems for good and make you proud

Come on, these seriously disturbed men were itching for a fight. I'm not saying I agree 100% with the WOD (I am in favor of people legally growing pot, mushrooms and poppies FOR THEMSELVES but not to sell). But these two angry, mentally ill dudes were crazed and burned down their own scene. Anyone who commits arson is sick.

The government was out of control here. Regardless of how and why you hate these Rainbow Farm people, I find the over reaction and toxically aggressive vendetta toxic.

law enforcement is not there to be a nanny for people's socialization. They went after these people in an out of preportion fashion based mainly on "culture crimes."

Incidently, it reminds me of elements from the 'Billy Jack' movie you get your handle from. (An all time favorite of mine.) Thanks for posting this too BTW.

I agree.

The only thing wrong in this story, is that the G-men didn't take these nutzoid scumbags out sooner - before they burned down, what was soon to be public property.

By the way, arson, at common law, is the malicious and willful burning of the house of another.

What this guy does with his own property is his business. If that includes burning it to the ground, he's certainly free to do so--and I don't think that merits a bullet to the brain, but I'm obviously WAY out of step with our current law enforcement tactics.

You mean you think that anyone should legally and morally have the right to burn down their own property??? Are you smoking weed? Has it occurred to you that fire doesn't stop at the property line???? I live 3 miles from the Biscuit Fire that burned a million acres last year. It started a long ways from where it finished. Setting fires on purpose is the act of a fool and an a**hole.
