This story appeared on the FRONT PAGE of today's Miami Herald. If the Chicago Cubs fan is run out of Chicago on a rail, he can come down here to South Florida and receive a big welcome.

Anyone who deosn't think that the chump in the stands didn't seriously help the Marlins need only read how the Marlins players themselves reacted to the incident.

No he didn't.
They still got an out after that, and then they loaded the bases. Catching the ball would not have made a diffewrence, although from what I saw, he wasn't gfoing to catch it anyway.
And then the cubs choked repeatedly.
Cubs fans should be used to that by now. It was hilarious watching grown adults bawling in the stands.

Look at the guy on the left of the GOAT - the guy with the blue Cubs cap on backwards. He's doing the right thing - pulling his hands back to allow the fielder a chance at the ball.

I like the expression of the guy to his right with the blue hat turned backwards.
He knows the rules to keep your hands to yourself when it's the opposing team's foul ball that close to the wall.
He looks on in horror as his buddy reaches out for the ball!

It definitely looks like he would have caught that ball if fan guy hadn't interfered. BTW, wasn't it also at Chicago where Sally Rand did her famous fan act at the Chicago World's fair? Fan gal...meet fan guy.
